Here's to my 100th Yelp review. Going to Chanel is sometimes a bit tricky. Having been to multiple…read moreboutiques in the US and Europe, I have come to expect a pleasant experience with friendly assistance and a decent selection of the latest season's collection. After all, you really are paying for an experience and an investment piece. I was hesitant to stop by this boutique as I've heard of other shoppers' unwelcoming experiences here. Nonetheless, here's a snippet of my time here: My husband and I came by a few minutes after the store opened as our hotel was very close by. Already, there were a few other patrons inside. A few people were there to simply pick up pre-ordered items while there were also those browsing. Already having my eye on a Chanel Boy flap bag, I glimpsed at the various display cases. Eventually a sales associate did offer to help but ended up handing me off to someone else. This was actually much to my favor as the second SA was much more helpful. She listened to my thoughts in what I was looking for and brought out multiple, newly delivered pieces just to see how I'd like them. After comparing several pieces, I decided on my bag. She also assisted me with the costume jewelry and small leather goods. Again, offering to show me many pieces that were not necessarily in the cabinets but rather, in the storeroom... until I found pieces that I was really happy with. They didn't offer us any champagne or drinks as other locations sometimes do, but overall, I'm happy with my purchase and pleased with the experience. I'll be stopping by next time I find myself in Vienna!

Another great second hand vintage shop on the neubausgasse…read more Good selection of clothes, shoes and accessories here. Also a large leather section. (If that's your thing...) Friendly staff and you're welcome to just pop in and browse if you want. The reason for only four stars is the funk of the second hand shoes. It permeated the whole shop and is just mildly unpleasant. Makes lingering too long not really all that agreeable.

This is a funky little shop that always has purses and/or clothes on sale outside on the street,…read moreusually for €10. They have a wide assortment of T-shirts (for guys, too), and TONS of reworked vintage dresses. The sizing is weird, though - you might see a dress you like in a "medium" but it turns out to be wayyy smaller than you were anticipating. Don't worry, you're not alone/you didn't blossom into a giant overnight, that's just how some of the clothes fit (and I think that's just how it is with reworked vintage). This store gets 2 stars instead of 3 because, among other things, they are pretty overpriced, IMHO. The dresses are all €48, without any 2-for-€80 discounts or anything like that. (The other items in the store are also overpriced, including an assortment of knock-off LeSportsac purses, etc.) Which brings me to my next point.. A lot of their stuff that's not vintage is Made in China, which if you've read any of my other reviews you'll know I have some beef with.. So. That's pretty much it. Overall it's a cool shop, worth a visit, but know that it's overpriced. If you're into vintage (I am), you're likely to find several dresses you like, but only a few will fit, and you probably can only afford like one.
