I made an appointment with Marissa Bartolucci and paid $350.00 for a one hour consultation. I…read morewaited 3 months for the appointment. The day of the appointment I arrived with all the documentation needed to discuss administration of my parents trust, which I had told the receptionist was the reason I was seeking legal counsel. Marissa was dismissive and curt with me almost immediately. I found her attitude, demeanor and appearance completely unprofessional. She barely looked at the legal trust documents I presented. She told me she hated the kind of case I was presenting and wanted $10,000.00 to discuss it further. She told me I needed to hire a professional to administer the trust. That was the reason I made the appointment with her. The meeting ended in less than a half hour and she kept the $350.00 she had taken for the one hour appointment I paid for. She completely wasted months of my time. I have had the occasion to seek legal counsel numerous times in my professional career for various reasons. This was the most unprofessional interaction I have ever witnessed an attorney display.

Attorney William Ball at Beaty Hatch has been the calm in the storm with regard to a legal battle a…read moreclose family member has faced over the past few years. His patience and expertise have been so very appreciated. Mr. Ball has always kept us up-to-date with the letters and responses received or needed. He organized and filed hundreds (if not a few thousand by now) of pages of documents, and set important calendar dates and reminders well in advance. All of his communications and follow-ups were precise, on time, efficient and always reinforced our confidence that the case has been handled by a reliable, dependable and trustworthy attorney. He has been there to answer all of our questions and to explain the legal process with patience and kindness. He is very knowledgeable. He has worked hard for us - and seeing him in action during court appearances has confirmed that we selected just the right person to represent my family member. Not all cases end the way we would hope. Legal battles can cause pain and heartache exposing personal and private matters that are better left behind closed doors. Life gets messy. It's easy to place the blame on someone else because life is unfair and the judge may not rule in your favor. Will Ball has helped us through with not just legal documents but with the hard personal stuff too. The other party in the case has been unresponsive and even combative at times, which has extended the case and cost more money. I am grateful for Mr. Ball for looking at things from new angles, and working with several opposing attorneys, court clerks and the judge to help move this case through the court, all the while being incredibly sensitive to the stress and toll that this case has taken on our family. He has made a difficult and lengthy process much easier to get through. I highly recommend William Ball at Beaty Hatch as an excellent, reliable, dependable and kind person and attorney.

I was being pestered by these people non-stop to write a review about their services working on my…read morecase. I tried ignoring them since my experience was pretty bad but alas... they kept asking for it. So here it goes. I retained James and his crack team of professionals because they showed up first in Google for personal injury attorney. I see thats not the case anymore and should have chosen one of the others that appeared on there now. I didn't call anyone else because I assumed they were the best. Boy was that a big mistake. Shortly after hiring them they sent me to a local chiropractor for a few months. This was okay, they did a great job although it was constant 3 times a week. Once the chiropractor said everything was better James' receptionist said that they would begin negotiating my case with the insured driver. The weirdest thing happened, after hearing weekly or monthly from someone during the first month or two of my case they went radio silent for over a year. I had ideas of the thousands of dollars they were making off of my case and no one could bother picking up the phone and giving me a call. And then it came... a phone call. From the receptionist. She told me that they've been negotiating hard on my behalf and they have reached a settlement. The offer? 50% lower than the national average for someone with my injuries. How do I know this? After 15 months of radio silence I started calling other attorneys and looking for second opinions. They were all too willing to share their opinions of my case and one looked up my injuries and told me the national average settlement amount. Armed with my new knowledge of the injuries and how personal injury law was negotiated, I declined the offer. I refused to take that low ball offer against my own attorneys advice. And I'm glad that I did! They went back to the insurance company and came back with a little better offer. Which I did take. I needed to put this behind me. It had been a long road. Would I hire this same law office again? Highly unlikely. After speaking to the other law offices in the area for 10 minutes, I was armed with much more information and now know they were all smoke and mirrors. Just because someone shows up on google first, doesn't mean they will negotiate your case properly.

Our families case started well before covid. I'll reiterate what other reviewers mentioned as they…read moreare spot on... They call you and return phone calls to get you to sign on the dotted line. They'll harass you to fill out the paperwork and then once you do, you'll never hear from them again. I mean, 6 months went by without getting even a return email. I understand the Corona virus is making business a lot more difficult for everyone but Ive paid my insurance premiums on time for over 20 years. Jim pak promised me service he could not deliver. Our case is still on going and I wanted the wait to write a review but I had the last straw. They're trying to force us to take a settlement that won't even cover all our medical bills or replace my newish family van. Of course we agreed to the fee that Jim Pak charges but that was because we were led to believe we would get, at a minimum, made whole. Now, because I hired these fake attorneys (Jim wasn't even licensed in Oregon until this year) I will owe money for an accident that wasn't our fault. I highly recommend doing your research on personal injury attorneys before choosing these guys. I get an ambulance chaser vibe from these guys and wish I would have done my research.
