I worked as an analyst for a call center for what amounted to roughly 2.5 weeks. After the 2.5 week…read moretraining session concluded, I elected to seek other opportunities and left my employer on good terms. I had filled out my timesheet each week. My employment was as a contractor, separate from the company I was working for actually. After 2+ weeks of not being paid at all (over a month delay total), I reached out to Schuck Law after searching the internet for a solution. According to Karen, who cited Oregon State Law, I should have been expecting my final paycheck to be deposited/delivered to me within 24 hours of my ending employment. After talking to Karen, I made the formal decision to hire Schuck Law, and specifically have Karen represent my case Karen and her staff worked with me diligently, patiently, and eventually was able to resolve my situation in my favor. It took a goodly bit, over 3 months to resolve, but I thanks to the clear expectations set forth to me by Karen, I expected this. In the end my pay was addressed, albeit 4+ months late. I was most impressed with was their candor about how to handle this, what to expect, and how things would eventually play out. Karen made it clear that this whole endeavor was a process, and that the process needed to play out accordingly. My former contracting agency at first balked regarding any penalty wages, let alone paying me what I had worked (and forget the legal fees for Schuck Law LLC), but when all was finished, both Shuck Law and myself were paid as expected, including penalty wages. In over 25 years of working I have never had a situation like this, but I am grateful that my first time allowed me to find a great solution to addressing my needs. I consider myself quite fortunate to have found an honest, diligent, and reputable law firm to represent my needs. I have had little reason to involve an attorney in my life, but the one time I did, I found someone I would easily recommend to others. Karen and her staff was excellent, and treated my situation with respect and understanding. I am sure there are attorney's out there that are worse, but I seriously doubt there are others that are better. If you have a wage claim issue, and you feel your employer or former employer has violated state or federal laws in Oregon (or Washington), please do not hesitate to call them. I sincerely hope I never have to go thru something like this again, but if I do, I know who I would call if need be..

Highly recommend this law firm for wage claims. Karen was extremely knowledgable and my case…read moreoutcome was outstanding without having to go to arbitration or court. They were direct and honest about reviewing my claim and my documentation was instrumental in building the case. Call Schuck Law if you need help getting wages you were not paid!

Unfortunately they were unable to wrap me for personal reasons, but they gave me other people that could help. I really appreciated that. Honesty goes a really long way. I would highly recommend. they are a little on the pricey side and they admit it, but it is the quality of work that makes it necessary. You pay for what you get.

I was referred to this firm specifically to assume representation for both my workers' compensation…read moreclaim and my employment termination matter. The referral was presented as a coordinated transfer to a larger firm capable of handling overlapping injury and employment law issues. This was not a general inquiry, it was intended to be a formal case handoff. When I contacted the office, staff appeared unfamiliar with my case and unaware of any referral communication. I was treated as a new cold inquiry rather than a client whose matter was being transferred. There was no evidence that case materials had been reviewed or that any attorney-to-attorney coordination had occurred prior to my outreach. The intake interaction was rushed and dismissive, with no meaningful attempt to gather background details or establish continuity of representation. Given the complexity and seriousness of combined workers' compensation and termination matters, this lack of preparation and professionalism was concerning. Being terminated while actively managing a workplace injury places clients in a particularly vulnerable position. In that context, proper referral handling and internal communication are essential. My experience reflected a breakdown in both. I would strongly advise prospective clients to confirm in writing that referrals are formally accepted, files are transferred, and case reviews have occurred before relying on this firm for representation.
