Room smelled like cigarette smoke and something attempting to cover the odor which resulted in a terrible smell and allergies were triggered. The Desk in sitting area had chunks of trim missing. The towels stuffed under the middle of each dresser was very classy. ‍ One dresser even had a broken door. The carpet was sticky and crunchy in places. Not once during our four day stay did anyone even ask if things were okay or if we needed anything. Terrible experience. read more

Older house and needs repairs/updates. It is clean and the staff is friendly. Our tub wasn't draining and the shower head is coming off the wall. Water is hot. We asked for them to come clean the tub since it is slow to drain and they did everything we asked. I wouldn't say it's perfectly clean though. We are staying one more day. We have a suite and really we're expecting 2 bathrooms but that didn't happen (could be there don't have 2/2 suites). Each room has its own AC system and they are all working properly. We do appreciate Netflix streaming on the small TVs. So basically it's clean, the AC works, and the staff is nice. The cons are things need repair and it's obvious it's an older house. read more

We used to stay here quite often and liked the hotel. Over the past few years, the maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel dramatically declined. There was rotting onions in a drawer, live cockroaches in every room, and we were chewed up by bed bugs. The body wash pump was broken and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were completely empty. Dirty, bug infested, and unkempt. We had to walk through maze of garbage and broken appliances that were piled up outside our room. read more

Hotel leaves services to be desired. When staying in a marriott property (as we usually do due to the customer service and cleanliness of their properties) I usually expect the room to be cleaned well everyday and if there is breakfast included for it to be good and hot. The breakfast was lukewarm and did not taste right to me. I know is it's hotel breakfast- but this was still not acceptable. The beds were made and new towels were put in, but they did not take (a mountain of) our dirty towels on the floor of the (small) bathroom. We were also given a partially used mini shampoo bottle from the check in. The building is very nice and new, and the rooms are very nice. Ours contained a kitchen and 2 big and comfortable beds. In vincennes, the amount of choices for hotels is not huge, but I believe this hotel could step up their game a bit and become one of the best in town. read more

I can't say enough about the service being polite, helpful, friendly, respectful, patient, etc From the first phone call to the last wave good bye the help is the best I've ever had. -and I can't say enough about breakfast and the sweet gal that tended it. Seriously, it was the best free breakfast you could want with everything from waffles, eggs, sausage & bacon, great biscuits & gravy, to oatmeal and juice. -and it was tasty Why the 4stars if the help was stellar? -1star for Marriot not updating their furniture and not purchasing a little better quality. The tiny couch with 2 cushions sunk in the middle and had hardly any padding. --you should want to snuggle with whom ever you sit with. The bed seemed to be an older model. There didn't seem to be any soft padding on the top like almost all hotels these days. l have to say I felt like I had been sleeping on springs. The handicapped suite was spacious with 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and large living room. I really appreciated having separate thermostats since one likes it cold and one likes it hot. DISGUSTING. I've been going to this hotel for years now when I travel, but never agian. Food left in the counters so old it was growing new life, which attracted roaches, which were everywhere, in my TP, in the sinks, in the beds everywhere. And that wasn't even my only pest issue. BED BUGS, bit me up all over and I still have the bites over a week later, not to mention all my travel supplies is still locked away incase any came back with me. But management was kind enough to give me a discount for my next stay hahahah, never again would I stay here and I suggest anyone else reading this to choose a safer and cleaner environment. Let's not forget management also told me it was the locals who made the place so dirty, and took no accountability for the disgusting environment they sold me. read more

I have stayed here about four different times. It is t horrible. I was out on the east side of the building this time... horrible! Heard trains until they finally quit running and after traveling all day and needing to be at work early in the morning that was the last thing I needed. The pillows are really bad; for my tastes anyhow. Now, they are remodeling so hopefully some of the other pesky stuff will get better. Decent parking. Beautiful room, clean, smells fresh, and two comfortable beds! This town Home has an awesome pool and work out room both were very clean and inviting! Friendly staff and free hot breakfast! The silverware, dishes and fridge were all very clean along with beautiful cherry wood cabinets and TWO closets! A table that sits 4 with 4 chairs and two sitting chairs that have a hard top cover that fits over the foot rest to add an extra hard surface. I'm impressed and happy to have stayed here! i normally have a decent experience with this hotel, however, i have been locked out of my hotel for hours now. i went to the front earlier and asked for a room key and told them my information and that i was the child of the parents i was staying with and that i could not get a hold of them. in response, i was told i wasn't allowed to be given a room key. it is now past midnight and i am still locked outside of my room. it has been two hours and i am unsure of how much longer i will be out here. i had bought food from the front desk 20 minutes prior to that. this is truly disappointing as i usually experience quality service from the staff here. i will say, there is a wonderful selection here for breakfast and incredibly comfortable lounge areas. read more

I have had the pleasure of staying at this property at least four times. We normally stay in the 2 bedroom suite. The size of the rooms are large and I love the door separation. Lily is always super sweet and accommodating any time she checks us in. Miranda came to the room to assist us with a quick clean and tidy of the room. The breakfast is always hot and ready. The staff is always friendly and treats our family well. We will be back. read more

This hotel is the wet dream of every business traveler. Although I only stayed there one night I'll guarantee I'll stay there every time I'm in Vincennes. Now I need to preface this by telling you the hotel is brand spanking new (it was open exactly a week before my arrival) so when I give it 5 stars for cleanliness keep it in mind I was probably the first person to stay in the room. The hotel is located across town from the other hotels which I find to be still very convenient - it is a small town after all. But it's still close to restaurants and only about 2 1/2 miles to the university. The room I stayed in was a king suite and frankly I could have lived there indefinitely. It had a little kitchenette area with a 2 burner stove, a refrigerator and microwave. The cabinets were stocked with all the necessary dishes and supplies. While there wasn't an automatic icemaker it had the trays for me to make ice. It wouldn't have worked well with the automatic anyway because I would have heard the cubes falling all night. The refrigerator was quiet though and not that constant humming sound you tend to hear. I was slightly disappointed they didn't have the free microwave popcorn found at some of these type of units but they did have a small marketplace in the lobby and if properly motivated I could have gone done there and purchased something. So maybe I should thank them for saving me the caloric intake. One very impressive thing about this hotel room is the clever use of space. This room is SMALL but you don't feel like it. I thought the workplace desk was more convenient then my home office with plenty of desk space (expandable too) and all kinds of shelves to put your stuff. Free Wi-Fi was just what my budget needed. The chair was very comfortable and ergonomically correct. The room had a sofa and ottoman that doubled as my dinner table. The sofa was cute and small but not extremely comfortable. But it was nice to have it so I wasn't sitting on the bed. The TV was a flat screen HD model with a swivel arm so I could watch it from the desk, the sofa or the bed; lots of channels too. The bathroom was plenty big, again with a lot of drawers and cabinet space. A hairdryer was in one of the drawers and I appreciated having one that wasn't attached to the wall. The one thing I truly LOVED about the bath was the water pressure in the shower. Not the "run around in the shower to get wet" variety but a nice steady stream that I appreciated being a frequent traveler. The bed was big and comfortable and I had requested foam pillows on my reservation and there they were waiting for me. The front desk staff was helpful and spoke to me each time I passed by. Ann, the manager, was particularly helpful to me with my reservation before I checked in and called me back when she said she would - which I always appreciate. I hesitate telling you how great this place is because I want to be sure to have a room when I go back! But I must say overall this hotel was a pleasant surprise for this weary traveler. read more

Best hotel I've stayed in! I travel a lot for work and I know what I like in a hotel. Major pros: Pet friendly and still doesn't smell! Except once when it snowed and the elevator smelled like wet dog. But not the next morning. I usually don't travel with my pets but this was a trip to see my son at school since he had to work over Thanksgiving. Our room was almost perfect. Since it was Thanksgiving, my mom, teen, and husband went with 3 dogs. 2 bedrooms with beds that worked well enough for me. Enough room in the living room for my big ol air mattress that my teen slept on. Though it did have a sofa bed. have a big bed and like my space when I sleep. Bed was comfortable enough I didn't have any trouble sharing. Maybe the liquor store in walking distance had something to do with that... Stove/oven, fridge, dishwasher, dishes. Awesome staff. I had trouble getting my WII on line and they went above and beyond to help me (thanks Lauren)! Decent hot breakfast. Indoor heated pool and nice workout equipment. Outdoor covered patio with a grill. When I get stuck out of town, I like hotels with grills because I am that girl that will cook a whole meal just for herself! Steak, potatoes, zucchini all on the grill, after work, just for me! Courtesy 24 hour coffee and hot water. Just needs some cookies too! Super reasonable price! Cons: No hot tub? Really? Bathroom door wasn't level so it stuck. Easy fix, just didn't bother with calling maintenance. Small bathroom and counter space. Full length mirror in front on toilet (yeah, cause that's just what I need a full frontal view of). One bathroom sucks when your used to everyone having their own. Glad the sink was outside the stool! Small breakfast area for getting your food. Nice seating but crowded when trying to get your food. Would like to see: Fenced in dog area with courtesy poop bags. And pets should have proof of being up to date on their shots. Hot tub added! Will surely be back every time I'm in town with the family! read more

Unfortunately I had to attend 2 family funerals in the past month. Stayed at Comfort Suites both times and would highly recommend the place. Very clean and comfortable...huge room for the price. Clean pool and nice little breakfast too read more

I've been at this hotel 3 nights. My first night the nightstand light was burnt out and the bulb could not be changed by anyone except maintenance. Maintenance is not available in the evening. Night 2-no housekeeping so I called to see what the problem was and was told that she had no oversight of housekeeping. I was a bit annoyed but not seriously. Night 3 - still no housekeeping. I travel for a living and have been for 10 years and have never not had housekeeping. The clerk at the front desk blew me off again saying she had no control. read more

I love this chain and the one is Vincennes is great! If you are traveling to Vincennes, do not stay any where else, as you will not find anywhere nearly as nice. It is also priced very reasonably. The workout room is awesome. The rooms feel airy and light. The breakfast is very generous and has to more to offer than most hotel chains do. read more

Stayed with a wedding party in town just for fun. I should have stayed home. Filthy and the prices are outrageous. Walls are thin and I was awake listening to a couple argue nearby. Party-goes kept walking the halls and making noise. Rude front desk clerk and the bathroom was gross. I would rather sleep In a tent on the highway than stay in this dump. read more
