In the last 2.5 years I've never been able to deposit checks or cash at this branch. The option on the touch screen is simply "unavailable." The software itself is slow. This might've been acceptable in the 1980s, but not in 2018. For shame, Wells Fargo. Unless you plan to step inside, steer clear of this branch entirely. (The New Town branch is also pretty crappy, as the ATM has a habit of mangling checks and cash. On two occasions I had a literal tug of war with the machine as it said it was returning my check then tried to yank it back. I brought it up with a teller there and she acknowledged that it's a long-standing issue. Or in her words "the machine goes crazy sometimes.") The remainder of what makes this particular branch unpleasant is largely out of the branch's control but are still noteworthy; the parking in front is limited, and if you park in back and have to enter the bank, you have to walk around the building unless you want to risk a hasty driver barreling down the entrance on the west side of Richmond Road. Getting in or out of the bank is also difficult when there's a W&M football game or some other man-made disaster. The Rochambeau branch is your best bet.

I no longer live in the area and decided to try vehicle financing through 1st Advantage versus going through whomever the dealership is incentivized to use. I'm not sure of others experiences, however every purchase I've made, the lender approved and took care of things in the moment to where I'm able to leave the dealership with the vehicle in one visit. Apparently 1st advantage does not. I'm quite disappointed that in 2023 my financial institution has to mail a check across the country, with the amount of money they stand to profit in interest. How is it others can solve and provide this level of service same day? I'm uncertain the disconnect, Lisa who has been helping me has been extremely accommodating with what she can control, but I'm highly disappointed in this experience with 1st Advantage. Shields was very professional and accommodating; he told me that he had to make a phone call and that he would get back to me. He called me back 15 minutes later and told that he could handle the transaction. When I arrived at the bank, Shields was in the lobby greeting clients. He greeted me with a firm handshake and directed me to the teller who would handled that actual exchange. It took a little longer than a routine bank transaction, but Shields and his crew told me that it would take a few minutes and were very conscious of my time. The teller (I didn't get her name) was super, professional and very efficient. I was pleased with my experience at Wells Fargo today. Well Fargo has received some bad ink in the media as of late, but after my experience today, I'm seriously considering moving some of my banking business to Wells Fargo.

This is a small location compared to some that I've been to in other states. It's located in a shopping plaza. There's ample parking. I must have come at the right time as it was easy in and easy out. Elizabeth appears to be a quiet, reserved, young lady. Don't worry as she will open and talk to you and ensure that your questions are answered and needs met. She was able to assist me with my account, as well as clear up some incorrect information I was provided from calling the call center/toll free number. I appreciate the time she took helping and the friendly conversation. It'll be nice to see additional locations opened, especially in the central Virginia area. The locations on Virginia seem to be spread out, whereas in northern states like Pennsylvania and New Jersey there's literally one on every corner or so it seems. They're closed on Saturday and Sunday, so they truly have banker's hours. If you are current military or a veteran, let them tell you what they have to offer. Stop by and you won't be disappointed. I immediately called them and there wasn't a charged on the account. I still felt a little uneasy about so I went down to the local office and they took care of me and understood my concerns. All of the staff that I've interacted with are completely understandable and I don't see myself banking with anyone else.
