Well, since gas stations would NEVER collude on prices, we find that the prices are all the same (except for BP which seems to like to charge more. Guess they still have oil spill related expenses). Well, with prices being the same you need to find a reason to pick on. This place has a pretty cool store set up, food, beverages, snacks, jeans, shirts, hats, boots and other stuff no one would but at a gas station. But isn't it nice to know you can?

It is. I grew up in co-ops and feed stores (the "feed store" is next door) and so I wanted to go in and wander around, maybe pick up a souvenir. The first thing I Noticed is it smelled nothing like I recalled - no wonderful leather tack smell. Maybe because so much is synthetic now. The second thing I noticed, in disappointment, was how expensive everything was. Like, really expensive. I thought, maybe I can get a child's lasso? $50 and the theme of lassoes nowadays, or at least here, seems to be glow-in-the-dark and bright colors for showtime (I guess?). The third thing I noticed was that even though I wandered the ENTIRE STORE, not a single employee said hello to me. What a disappointment in so many ways.

The stench was beyond normal. The filthy floors hadn't been mopped in what appeared days. Two urinals very tight with the stranger next to you. How can a business owner let their property go to hell like this? Let alone one of the first stations off the reserve exit so plenty of tourists get a nasty welcoming. I come to Missoula about 5x a year and I will certainly avoid. Now I see why I always use the station up the road a couple hundred yards.

The cost of fuel can be tens of cents cheaper than the name brands, and you still get Top Tier Gas (all the detergent additives). Add to the fact that many of the costco gas stations (outside major metropolitan areas & all california) tend not to have lines. Sometimes off the beaten path, but saving several dollars per fill up is A-OK by me !!!!

It's easy to use the pump with the Costco Citibank card, you only need to insert it and it works for membership verification and payment. If you're using apple pay with the Citibank card, you'll need your membership card first. Then you can tap to pay. The attendant at the pump is helpful if you're having trouble with your membership card and they are polite. Occasionally, they will chat with you while you pump your gas. They wipe the pumps periodically and it's comforting to have them there at night when it's dark.

There are a total of 16 gas pumps as well as a station with free air and a vacuum. There is also a small casino attached to the gas station. Around the back of the gas station is a car wash which you can pay for at the pumps if you choose. I have been through it twice and don't recommend. Both times it left my car dirty in several places and the windows full of streaks. The inside is what you would expect of any gas station. They sell lottery tickets/scratch tickets, cold drinks and beer, snack items, deli sandwiches and condiments, as well as an area with hot food and fountain drinks. If you get gas here often, make sure you utilize their rewards program which will earn you points on all gas and in-store purchases, which you can redeem for free gas or merchandise.
