The staff are friendly and very helpful. If you have any questions, they are more than willing to go out of their way to help you find anything or special order it for you. If they can get it for you, they are more than happy to! They are a wonderful place for someone who has special dietary needs, likes a little conversation and needs help looking for ideas for herbal remedies or food alternatives. I LOVE this place!!! While some things may be a touch pricey, I don't think it's much different from any other place in town. And it's in town so I don't have to travel if I want to stay home that week.

However, the prices are higher for raw ingredients, so you're better off going to Libby's other health food store for these sorts of things. Don't expect the selection you'll find in a large city, but it can be a nice place to find those health items which aren't available in Rosauer's. Last time I was there the guy at the register was extremely incompetent; he has to ask me the price of bulk food items. After telling me the cost ($3.20), he then punched it in incorrectly ($2.20), and tried to give me too much change. I informed him of the mistake, and he entered it a second time, and quoted yet another price ($3.18) than the initial one. At this point I gave up. So I was less than impressed with the quality of the help at this shop.

When I lived in Libby, the first health food store was the Health Hut, located on Mineral Avenue…read more The original owners have since sold the store, and the new owners relocated it to the current location. It is very easy to miss the store, as it located within the Homesteader's Ranch and Feed Supply store. You really need to know that it is there or you will easily overlook the small sign informing you that you can buy health foods along with your animal feed! This is a pretty small store, and if you are looking for finished products, you are better off going to the other health food store. However, if you want to purchase things from the bulk bins, it's the cheaper alternative, and much of the stuff is also cheaper than what you find in Rosauer's. Maybe it's just me, but I appreciate the atmosphere of demystifying health food. Selling it next to bags of animal food makes it seem much more natural and ordinary, rather than something highly specialized. I sometimes get a little tired of the assumption that many other stores make that "if you like health food, you'll love having the air stink of patchouli" and "if you like to eat healthy food, you naturally believe in mystical things like crystals and aura massage." This is what gives them the extra star for me, rather than just the 2 they would get for having a relatively small selection but performing a vital service in a small town.

This is an Amish run property and staff is very friendly. We…read morewere told by our family that there's cheese samples available. But, when we got to the deli counter- staff/ samples weren't available. Deli staff were in the back- filling lunch time orders for guests. And I wasn't sure if customers had to ask for samples- since, staff didn't offer. Or if samples were available certain days/ times. You basically just walk around the deli counter where the tables/ chairs are to view sandwich/ wrap menu. And there's 6 options to choose from the deli menu (still can't believe I didn't take a photo). But, you can't go wrong with creating your own sandwich too! A sandwich is typically $6- but, an extra $1- gives you more cheese/ deli meat options. And for 50 cents each- a bag of chips & drink. So, when I ordered my pastrami beef, pepper jack & smoked cheddar cheese on wheat sandwich- it was heaping with a generous portion of thin tasty slices. A sandwich I can easily grip and bite into. Since we opted to dine inside- we were able to pay after our meal. Besides the deli- if you opt to purchase any canned/ bottled items- just make sure to check the BEST IF USED BY DATE.
