I put in a plan my total scope of work and submit to the front desk person and then get a approved permit. Call in inspections of my work per my plans and get failed notices. We reference our plans and failed notice can't figure out the issue. Call inspector and leave message. We did not get a call back. Failed two inspections based solely off inspector interpretation that conflicts with submitted approved plans. Now we add, move or change at our expense to make inspector happy. I would have saved time and money if reviewers at office desk and field inspectors were on the same page! But if you don't do what they say you won't get approved inspections and the work will not be complete. Try and hold anyone accountable and you will get a deaf ear. Just do it and move on, again at my cost. Ridiculous!!!

I can't say anyone ever actually recommends a courthouse. It's that place you try to avoid if…read morepossible. I made it to almost 40 years old without getting a ticket until last month, and lemme tell you, it was a strange experience. That's not to say I probably shouldn't have been ticketed once or twice, but still... I feel it was an impressive feat. I arrived to the courthouse in Downtown Chandler an hour early on a warm, sunny day (whoever says it's fall lied to you; the high today was 100° F) in a spacious parking lot with covers, trees, and well kept municipal buildings. Inside, you go through security not unlike the airport, and check in. I've never been to court, and I don't know if security was amused or felt sorry for me (my ticket told me my court appearance was at 3:00 pm/15:00, but you still have to get a ticket at the kiosk), but the man came to my rescue and helped me choose the right option. I noticed immediately I was VERY overdressed in my Sunday best: a blue dress with white polka dots, little white platform pumps, makeup, earrings, and necklace. Everyone else wore jeans, making me question my decision to dress up (I thought that's what you were supposed to do). The lobby was very clean though. Also, you don't know how hard it is to covertly sneak a picture and hope no one will chastise you for taking pictures. I don't recommend trying it in the actual courtrooms though. I'm not that bold. Waiting wasn't too different from the MVD except the process moves WAY faster, and the customer service representatives at the window are super friendly. I presented my kiosk slip, my ticket, my registration, and a dated receipt of the registration. In return, I filled out a form with my name, case number, what I wanted from the judge, and the reason I felt the motion should be granted. Went to the courtroom upstairs and waited my turn. It was kind of warm, but I don't know if that's because the temperature was high, I was nervous, or that I've had hot flashes since I was 28 years old. All three could be a possibility. My conversation with the judge consisted of two questions and lasted less than thirty seconds. Then a decision was made, and I was on my merry way. So was it a good experience? Ehhhh, going gave me horrible anxiety. BUT the staff did make an uncomfortable situation better for me, so thank you to the City of Chandler for your hospitality! P.S. the moral of the story is to not get a ticket if you don't want to go to traffic court.

The field is used all the time. There is a sidewalk that doubles as a running loop. A little Ramada to have birthday parties. Nice trees to shade a lot of the area, plus the larger sail that covers the playground. Playground itself is a good mix for big kids and small kids alike. I've been to others where some part of it are nearly downright dangerous or impossible for small kids to play on. If you want a nice playground then this is a superb stop

If your…read moreemployer pays you for the day, you get a day to surf your phone or read a book or just hang out and not think while you are waiting in the jury room to be possibly called. I've done jury duty in San Diego and now in Phoenix. This is the first time I had to report in as opposed to my group number not having to show up and being excused. The worst part for me is driving downtown but my hubby drove me so that was good. On the jury summons they show you where to park and they validate the parking so it is free for you. The jury room where you wait is actually a good size room with somewhat comfortable chairs. Tip - there is a row of chairs on the side of the room that have the outlets for plugging in your electronics. There are other places available to plug in, but these are convenient. Only bad thing is those seats get claimed fast so show up early! The court system really tries to make the experience very favorable and not too much of a hardship. There is a kitchen area where coffee is made and you can make tea. There are vending machines for water and soft drinks plus a fountain you can get purified water from free of cost (no charge for coffee or tea either). There's a microwave and a fridge if you need to heat up something for lunch if you are there. Bathrooms are located in the jury lounge too. You have the freedom to get up and go outside while you are waiting as long as it is limited to 15 minutes and you sign out and then cross your name off when you get back in. All in all not a bad experience! There were only 2 cases the day I had to appear and both cases were settled without going to trial so we were all excused by about 10:15 a.m. They say I won't be called for at least 18 months before having to report again for jury duty, but I wouldn't mind if it was sooner. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Nice touch to have the judge come in and thank us for our service and explain the process to us.
