There aren't many "dance bars" in South JOCO, but this place is a great place to have a few cocktails, people watch and dance under the disco ball (DJ every night). Tuesday is ladies night, Friday and Saturday are usually quite busy. A little quieter during the rest of the week. Service is always great (especially if you've been in a few times). An interesting spot - it reminds me of being in a casino bar. The crowd is definitely on the older side and there are clearly lots of regulars. Staff is all really nice and friendly. There's a small dance floor for anyone looking to dance. There is a bar in the front and one in the back - there's a sort of dress code here with more of a collared shirt vibe for patrons, but I also noticed staff doesn't adhere to this dress code which I found a bit weird. Drink prices aren't bad, but there is a $10 cover to enter which I feel like offsets the drink prices. In 2017 I went out to dance at this establishment and ended up being assaulted. I was standing near the dance floor when a total stranger slapped me on my butt. For no reason. I was just existing. Instead of punching the guy out, I ran over to the doorman who went and got a man who he said was the owner. They both told me, "Too bad. You should expect to be treated like that here." That is the experience I had. Yelp keeps taking down my review because apparently the details of the assault violate terms of service?? It seems to me that Yelp should be more concerned about keeping women safe from harm and dangerous places. The police laughed at me. The assault left a red hand print on my butt. We just got back from bar hopping at the Plaza since 3:30pm Friday. It was 8:pm, and we wanted to find a place to go chill and dance that was closer to home. Found this place on Yelp. We got there at 8:30pm. Our first impression walking in felt like a cool bar lounge. The crowds were mixed of age. Mainly 30's and up dressed in their best. There was a bouncer that was pleasing to the eye who welcomed us in. It was a $10 cover for each person which was reasonable. The reason why I say cover charge is reasonable is because the drinks were priced inexpensive. Very good pour of alcohol. Drinks were delish! So since it was our first time here, we didn't know the dress code. My husband was wearing just a white tshirt, nice slacks, and Sperry's. Men had to wear collared shirts.. We came straight from bar hopping at the Plaza. So instead of being rude about it or even telling us to leave, the owner offered him a nice collared shirt to wear. They resolved the issue without it being an issue. I was dressed in a tube top and nice shorts. Women basically wore what they wanted, but next time I will dress more formal with heels and everything. There's 2 bars. One located in the front when you first walk in, and the 2nd one in the back towards the squared dance floor. Party music didn't start until after 9:pm. They play oldie hits, 80's, 90's, etc. These are my jam! We were able to slow dance, shake our behinds, line dance, etc. Highly suggest reservations for tables. No drinks on dance floor which I appreciate since no spill accidents can occur. Employees were so nice! Love the bartenders and waitress! It's a fun place without the rudeness of other clubs in downtown KC. All the people here are all about having fun. We'll definitely be back! read more

I came here for a private birthday party in a room in the back. The place was decorated and food was provided by the folks that rented the space, but the full bar was staffed by Touché. The bartender was phenomenal, personable, and attentive to everyone even as some of the group got more obnoxious :-). We all had a great time! I do believe that I showed up out of the normal dress code (t-shirt, jeans, and a hoodie), but I was wearing nice loafers. Out in the general population area, the place was packed, and everyone was well dressed. There were a lot of suit jackets and nice evening wear. Looked like a lot of fun, but I kept myself to our private room. The only two dings I have for the place were that we couldn't stream our own music in the party room, and it was difficult for folks to navigate through the main room and outside and back for a smoke or fresh air. I don't smoke, but it was annoying to accompany folks, so I gave up trying. Someone was controlling the volume when folks made their speeches. I don't know if not having our own music was an oversight by the party planners or a rule from Touché. There was a exit door in the room that we couldn't open, making the trek through the packed general area and through the front door to catch a smoke very time consuming. In all, I'd go back. I'm not sure I'd plan my own party there, but I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a small place with a dance floor. read more

So if you are looking for a well run business, look no further! I have been involved with retail and customer service for more years than I care to admit, this place has it down! Well lit parking, cover charge to make sure people want to be there, staff who know how to treat customers , clean and stylish (maybe a bit dated) interior , clean restrooms , a owner who greeted us and thanked us on the way out. Such a great experience! Kudos to the team. Now, for what you really want to know....is this a swinger friendly place? While I cannot confirm in one visit I can tell you I would not be surprised at all if there were a few lifestyle couples in the mostly well dressed if not a touch more mature crowd. But everyone we met, including the cute woman who bought my girl and I drinks, was so nice and genuine. We will be back, dressed better with more time to dance and enjoy! One last note to the owner. We go to Touche's every time we come from St. Louis to Kansas City. Always have a great time there. Have never left early. Music is what you make it. DJ takes requests. Tips help. Waitresses are over worked But Have always been friendly. Wish it had more room. Dance floor is crowded, But that's because everyone is dancing. The owner (Dan) is a very nice guy. A cute place for suburban nightlife! I will start by saying that when my friends suggested going here, I didn't know what I'd be getting myself into. The first thing to know is that this place is geared towards a more seasoned crowd - but don't let that stop those of any age to drop by! I really liked that there were little tables all around. Even if you don't feel like dancing, you'll still be able to sit and have a conversation. The dance floor, although a bit small, was full of energy the entire time I was there. Some of my friends bought a couple drinks, and they absolutely loved it. I assume they were strong as my friends were tipsy in no time. The music is good but standard radio length. The drinks are not impressive. One martini should be equivalent to 3 beers in alcohol but the price is all that is 3 times more. When I sat down she came over and I told her my husband had already went to the bar and she went off on me las if I were a child. Where to begin with Touché.... I would have never gone here without the encouragement of my wife and several of her co-workers. I've read the Yelp reviews and expected the worst. Instead, I found Touché to be a high energy dance club and bar that though definitely suited for the older crowd, is a fun place to be a wallflower and watch the fun from afar. We arrived shortly after 9pm on a Saturday night. The parking lot was packed - I figured because of the Buffalo Wilds Wings in the same strip mall. Wrong! Touché was bumping from wall to wall with an older crowd (with a smattering of 30 somethings but no 20 somethings). Kindly greeted at the door by a doorman and manager. Extending his hand to me with a smile, he stated "they must call you Lucky." At the moment I was the lone guy with five ladies. Thankfully another guy came later with his wife. Bartender was quick and friendly, beers were cold and well priced. Watch out for the coffee pots sitting on the bar - they are hot and full! We weren't able to get a table but also didn't really want one. We were content to stand under the watchful eyes of Frank Sinatra along the wall, drink our beers, and watch the older crowd. Pros - Everyone here is having a good time. If you are younger than 40, don't come here to make fun of people. Come here to dance and admire how mobile and excited everyone else to be dancing. I was in awe of an older couple sitting in front of us (clearly in their 70s) who were up on the dance floor nearly every song. They were so happy and I was happy for them. A younger guy (50) stopped me and commented on their energy too. Apparently they just went to Vegas and the woman was dancing on tables. Good for them!! Safe, clean, and high energy environment. The music was really good - not just 70s and 80s stuff. The DJ played some newer stuff including Kid Rock & Nelly, J-Lo, etc... Even with newer music, the older folks were still shaking it on the dance floor. Cons - We definitely got some looks from the crowd but no one was unfriendly. My wife had a couple gentlemen callers try to talk to her - no big deal but watch out for the Silver Foxes. Don't get in the way of people trying to get to the dance floor. These folks are on a mission and they will nudge you to get there. Again, not unfriendly, but not your classic bar style tap on the shoulder or "excuse me." I don't really want to go back - this was a one time thing for me. However, I would highly recommend it for other people looking to have a drink, dance and a good time. When *I* went to business school, I was taught that you sell more drinks from people that are actually AT the bar than from people you are waiting for. Our visits to Touche have always been either as part of a celebration (birthday gathering, etc.) or for their brilliant NYE event. Every time, we've been impressed by the servers and drinks, the owner makes sure dress code is followed, and safety is ensured. Love, love, love this place. At some point, we'll be sure to just do a random drop in and have dinner...I'm feeling sure we'll be just as impressed! My husband and I love to take friends out to Touche any chance we can. Be sure you are dressed appropriately, collars and no shorts for men. Dress code is strictly enforced. Look, this club is here for a reason, so the olds can have a place of their own to let loose. And let loose they do! We are by far the young'ns (late 30s). But it's fun! The DJ does great for the demographic, think wedding reception dance floor playlist. There aren't many opportunities to make requests either. It is a bit of a meat market, in my opinion. Which I don't think is a bad thing! Singles are there to mingle, have at it! I've been for birthday celebrations, random nights out and just to have a drink and dance the night away. We stopped in on a Friday night and there was a cover charge, rightfully so for a dance club in my opinion since not everyone is going to drink or eat. It was packed and a lot of fun. I am 39 and felt pretty young but the music was music from my early 20's and earlier. I had a great time dancing and did not feel like it was a "meat" market. I thought everyone was respectful. I'm gonna say it....I LOVED TOUCHE! yes, it is a bit cheesy and yes, there are 60, 70 and 80 year olds there but we had so much fun. There are also 30 and 40 year olds and to be honest, my friends and I fall in the 40-50 range so it's not like we are spring chickens. Danny reserved our group of 10 ladies the back section of couches. Our waitress Julie was awesome. Drinks are reasonable. We danced a lot. The last stop on our birthday bash this past Saturday night was to Touche.... it was FANTSTICALLY cheesy!! Definitely caters to an older crowd (50+), and we were in the 35-40 age range, but we had a great time, and the music was always right for dancing. We found the back lounge of Touche and spent most of our time back there, especially since that lounge had it's own dance floor. The decor has an 80's feel to it, drinks were at a reasonable price. Nice club with an older crowd... if you think forty is old, this probably isn't your place. The decor is classy & clean (although a little reserved,) the music isn't head-poundingly loud, and the service was spot-on. Drinks are a little pricey but not completely out of line for JoCo. It's definitely got a singles vibe, I got hit on by a very nice fiftyish fellow, but he was quite polite about it... not meat-market-ish.
