The arch diocese is a non for profit which allows for different treatment. Every truth I just stated has been brushed under the rug. It's sad and angers myself as a parent. This is my second go round here and I am ecstatic that Honeybee's House of Learning was recommended to me. My 7 year old began attending on his 1st birthday and I could not have made a better choice. They engage the children early on in reading, music and movement, problem-solving, and an array of other life skills. As they become older, they receive homework to help sharpen skills learned and begin to familiarize with accountability. He attended until he was school age and was well equipped for all that school presented socially, emotionally, and academically! He currently excels in standardized tests and reads far beyond grade level. Trips are offered for different age ranges, nature walks, and creative play in their wonderful backyard play area are just a few of the things they have to offer. The environment is very welcoming and nurturing is most definitely a strong suit at Honeybee's! I now have a toddler that attends and she has flourished into a very intelligent and inquisitive 1-year-old. We have recently become vegetarians and they have been completely on board with my meal request to eleminate certain products for lunch and snack times. I would reccomend them for anyone hesitant or worried about leaving their infant at a daycare. No worries when leaving them in the care of Honeybee's!

Pros: * The education is top-notch. Only through comparison with what other daycares are learning in our new city now did we realize how much advanced the content our 4yo was learning compared to other schools. My kids know so many random facts and songs they never cease to amaze me. * In addition to reading, writing, math, the focus on the project based arts and sciences is really nice and appreciated. They teach Spanish. Again, many daycares I visited didn't have the volume of student projects hanging up. * The add-ons (they do cost $$$ like $300 per 10-weeks) offered like karate, violin, basketball, are pretty unique to ITAV and convenient. * The final icing on the cake is they recently started Field Trips, which no other daycare we visited does. * They feed lunch and snack, which not all daycares offer lunch, though taste quality highly varies on this :). * Teachers know the kids' names from all classrooms pretty quickly which is a nice touch. Cons: * The biggest issue that other 1* reviews highlighted, is that your kid will have about an incident report monthly, and sometimes a scratch or bump that no one noticed. My 2yo lost a tooth at daycare and they had no clue how. I can't say if this is above or below average, as kids get into accidents was always our assumption and we are now just starting them in their new daycare. Most incidents happen end of day during pickup, when they're put into a general playroom that often are not their primary teachers, with a lot higher student:teacher ratio. So if you want to avoid the accidents, pick up your kids in that 4:30-5pm window before their main teachers leave. * There is noticed staff and teacher turnover. This hasn't affected the quality of care for our kids, but I have talked with the teachers who left and they've uniformly cited that ITAV does not pay their teachers well - assistant teachers are paid @ $12/hr and lead @ $19/hr as of 2018, so teachers will leave. That's something the teachers and the owner needs to work out, but from the parents' side, they interview candidates well and have consistently good teachers so for us we don't dock them for that in our rating, but I'm providing the info here as FYI. Overall, I would have no hesitation putting your child into ITAV and you'd get a top-tier education and can easily avoid the physical accidents issue by picking up earlier.

Out of all the daycares we viewed, Angels R Us was clearly the best choice. I wish I chose this place first! It's so clear they care deeply about the children and provide a safe and engaging space. My son just turned 4 and I don't regret our decision one bit. The staff has been kind, extremely caring and also provide academically rigorous instruction for the students. My 4 year old now has weekly spelling test for his sight words and many times he comes home already knowing how to spell the words because they practice at school. He knows how to count beyond 50+, identify letters and letter sounds and I think this is a direct reflection of the hard work happening at daycare and at home, this has been a true partnership all centered around the well being of my son! Staff also keep the children and families engaged with family projects, frequent spirit week celebration, amongst other things. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Ms. Barr and Ms. Anise. These two women have played such a huge role in my child's development and overall comfort at the daycare. My son talks about them daily! It is clear their hearts are deeply invested in the work they do and they challenge and teach children from the very beginning! I can go on and on but Angels R Us is a great option. I would pick her up and the "director" would smell of cigarettes. I had to get out of there. Little Kiddies was a blessing! My girl started to have regular BM's (TMI sorry) and her health got better. She started clapping and just seemed happier when i would drop her off. No more crying as i would put her in a bouncy seat and have to leave. LK uses an app and they send regular pictures of the kids throughout the day along with solo shots just of my girl. I feel my girl is safe when i drop her off and that gives me peace of mind when at work. They also do things that took me by surprise. They had a dentist come one day and they just had picture day. They play baby music and sing-a-long songs for the infants, tend to their bottles (unlike some daycare's that have milk in the bottle for HOURS before they change it). My son has been scratched, bitten and hit over 7xs since he been there. My son has been bitten 3xs in one day by one specific child and no action was taken after that. I was given an action plan and instructed that they will be separated and supervised at all times well clearly i was lied too. I have watched videos of one of my child teachers literally shacking and rough houseing a child and i tld them god forbid i ever see that childs mother cuz noone should do a child like dat ( layla's mother i hope you see this). I was called today and informed that my child was scratched and wen i got there my son had 3 scratches on his face and neck and i was told i cant guarantee that your child will be supervised at all times. wTF how dare you.
