I have been having colonics for years so I was shocked, shocked when I walked in and it appeared they were doing a colonic on someone with the treatment door wide open! The desk attendant appeared horrified to see a client and promptly asked me to leave, with no explanation-other than the obvious complete lack of professionalism that I witnessed. This was a very intense experience and while I had always felt this type of procedure was something I needed, I should have been better prepared for it (mentally that is). First off, Wendy is very professional and she is candid and will not let you feel embarrassed by anything. She's been running her business for a long time and is a resource herself full of data and information about how the bowels work and digestion and can answer almost any question you throw at her. The process took a good hour, if not longer and while it was slightly uncomfortable, it wasn't painful or anything like that. I am so happy I found Wendy at Totally Well Within. I have had a difficult time balancing my gut flora for many years, having frequent migraines, candida getting out of control and sporadic depression spouts. The candida creates sugar cravings that is so difficult to control Wendy is so sweet and patient. My name is Jody Metzler I came in to Wendy to get a colonic. I was completely backed up hadn't been able to have a bowel movement on my own for a couple of years. I had to take certain herbs or different laxatives to actually have a movement. But the herbs I was taking was starting to really affect my intestines and starting to make me sick and feel really bad. I came in to Wendy she did a goat milk enema which I recommend to anybody coming in that you do this. She gently put the goat milk and sea salt enema in I laid on the bed for about 10 minutes went in and expelled so much waste out of my system that when the toxins were being removed I got a little bit dizzy I could not believe how much waste came out of me. Soo amazing & life changing!! Wendy is very skilled at what she does. very professional too. I was soo nervous having a tube up my A but its really not that big and you dont really even feel it. it basically just feels like warm relaxing water in your stomach/lower gi area. I was being extra cautious so I sent her an email and did not get a response. I called again this morning and sent another email confirming the appointment with no response. This is my first yelp review--ever (that I remember anyways. Yelp claims I have 2 other ones so maybe I did so in a blackout...). Felt compelled to do so just because meeting Wendy and following up with her procedure has made an amazing impact on my life, and I'm certain that there are others out there whom would be just as greatly affected so it's my duty to pass on my experience if I want this world and people to be a better place. After treating my body like shit for decades due to mental illness that resulted in alcoholism and drug addiction, God graced me with a new way of life that I have taken a hold of. This path led me to Wendy (thank God!) and this has only strengthened my resolve that healing must begin from within, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Over the years I have tried countless vain attempts with western medicine to treat my disease, only to find out why (with Wendy's help) they were never effective. At our initial meeting she shared her experience with me and I was obviously intrigued. However, because the procedure seem so foreign and awkward to me I hesitated before going through with it, basically because I was embarrassed and afraid (two characteristics that have resulted in spiritual sickness my entire life, and since body, mind, and spirit are all connected the chance of healing was impossible.) Recognizing this I asked God for the help to move past my fears, and as is always the case when I do so, I was astounded by the results. At my first procedure Wendy was warm and welcoming and walked me through the entire process, answering any questions I had, and allowed me to be a participant in the process rather then just an observer, which for me became part of the healing process. What I thought was going to be solely detoxifying event turned out to be much much more than that. It was also replenishing and resulted in a calm and peace that I can only describe as overwhelmingly amazing and indescribable. This review is just based on booking appointments and Wendys professionalism! We unfortunately weren't able to come in for a colonic because of a schedule change. My mom is very sick and we were trying to get her in (with doctors approval) as soon as possible. After calling about a dozen places, Wendy was the quickest to respond and did so in an encouraging, caring manner. It was especially helpful given our circumstances.
