This location is great - the line always moves fast and it's near the malls and parking. The coffee is more like an ice cap (think Tim Horton's style) and not really iced coffee like you would expect in the US. It's very tasty, maybe a bit more sugary than I'd like, but really a decent coffee. Not as strong as some you'll find elsewhere so I wouldn't go here if your goal is the strongest coffee around. They also sell lots of packaged coffee - very big assortment and related coffee products. I didn't try any of their bakery goods this trip but have in the past and they're good, similar to other coffee houses.

The Belgian I ordered was dark only and it was very rich, with a nice foam top. The hot chocolate was delicious and sweeter, but not too much. The pastry we got was very good flavor, but the center had a bit of a dried film on top and made the pastry harder to eat. We have been drinking cafe lattes. Intrinsically, these don't vary much from place to place. As long as the coffee is not stale and the milk is fresh, you should be in business. But at Kanelsnurren, the cafe lattes are dramatically better. Better beans? The Edvard Grieg of Norwegian baristas making the espresso? Who knows? But the world perked up with the first sip. * * * But at a bakery you are there for the baked goods. They have both heavy Scandinavian breads and lighter fluffier wonders. I did not try the heavies such as the ryes or the korns. I had a ham sandwich with one of the mixed seed sandwich buns. Inferior versions of this taste okay and sit in your stomach like a shot put afterwards. This version of the bun tasted complex and amazing. The bread was light and ethereal both while being consumed and afterwards. Leaving the restaurant, I could have floated up the hill to the neighborhood church. (I actually did so. The cafe latte provided the additional lift.) * * * But as good as the sandwich was, the star of the show was dessert. I got a chocolate and hazelnut bun with a big dollop of chocolate on top. Surprise, surprise, the pastry was nearly empty inside, like a popover or a Yorkshire pudding. But it was rich and buttery and comforting like a Popover. Yes, the inside of the popover cavity had dollops of chocolate and of hazelnut. It was big enough to be filling, light enough to be ethereal, delicate enough to be guilt-free, and chocolatey-nutty enough to totally delight my inner three year old. Popovers for dessert? The place was packed and very low in several so my fiancé took things on her own hands and went to the kitchen, start cleaning tables and doing dishes and serving some beers and pizzas... We had a blast and it was quite an experience for her and we felt very welcoming during the whole time (2-3 hours) there. The owner is very adaptable and friendly, in sure moving forward he will be more prepared for these large ships with tons of people on it so the services is more efficient...
