I was in Minnesota for the first time and was thrilled to have finally found a Cognac I'd been seeking for quite some time.

Went on a not so traditional date with my husband a few weeks back at total wine. Now listen y'all we needed to stop by anyways to restock our bar before the holiday season but along the way shopping there was a ton of little sampling areas. Every employee was SUPER informative of their products and helped us with every single question we had. Yes I know sometimes an employee is just trying to make a sale but you know what they helped us get what we were looking for and steered us in the right direction with the discounts and deals. Awesome selection at fair prices, with new items to sample each day. I had a great time shopping here. Ambiance (5/5). The store is super clean with wide aisles and great merchandise displays. Selection (5/5). SO many wines, beers, liquors. They even had some imported selections from the Philippines. All of my favorites are sold here, which makes it so convenient. Service (4/5). The person handing out samples of delicious liquors was so fun, charming and informative. I loved one of the items I sampled and had to buy some on the way out of the store. He even got me to try a new brand of vodka with his recommendation. However, the lady at the check out could have been more friendly. read more

It is a great store. They have a vast selection of wine and spirits not much more to say. When I'm in town this is my store of choice.

First time coming to this location. Great to see these locations here in the Minneapolis area. Great, clean liquor emporium with everything that can compete with the Binnys liquor store back in Chicagoland. Staff here was friendly. Great selection of hard cider too! Plenty of brands I never heard of that I am excited to try. Plenty of other varieties of stuff you won't find at other liquor stores. Surprisingly quiet too. Solid location. read more

Total Wine knows how to do customer service. I always seem to have to ask someone where an item is, and they quickly help me get there. The staff is friendly, regardless of location, and they seem eager to ensure that customers have a pleasant experience. TW&M also have good prices and great sales. I don't purchase alcohol often, yet find that this is the best place to get it. They have a great variety of things to imbibe, you so can probably find something for everyone on your list. If you join their rewards program, you can get extra savings. read more

This store was well organized, stocked, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We came with a large shopping list and were able to find everything we needed from spirits to beer to supplies to throw a party. The staff approached us and asked if we needed help and assisted us in trying options of tequila to choose one that fit our palate. I came in for some wine for my husband's 51st birthday with my 15 year old son and was denied service because he didn't have a "physical id".. HES 15. When I tried to reason with the suspected manager he claimed that it was "company policy" don't waste your money at this place they are rude and overpriced. I will be taking my business elsewhere. While we stop here occasionally for a few things, my biggest problem is that we consistently will buy a single of something but get charged for a 4-pack. We don't notice it until we get home, but it's happened so many times now, that I'll definitely not forget to scrutinize the checkout from now on. Also, we get a lot of hard ciders and it seems like some of them must sit on the shelf for awhile, because we get some brands that we're familiar with and they taste like they've been sitting for quite some time. Employees seem to be mixed, sometimes very friendly and helpful, but other times not so much. read more

I sometimes will stay away from the bigger liquor stores because I like to give the little places the business, but I have to say....if you are a wine, whiskey or vodka drinker...this place is Awesome!! They are SOOO helpful and willing to take the time to make recommendations, help you find weird or unusual things, and honestly they know their stuff!! That felt so rare to me today when I went looking for a couple of wines I'd had at recent restaurants that I was actually surprised to have someone help me, and actually know their product well! It was a really nice change! I've tried a number of their recommendations and have consistently been impressed! The pricing is decent, but it's more about the selection in my mind. I will say that the place gets crazy, the aisles are tight and filled with glass bottles and if you want to get in and out....maybe go to a smaller place for that. But it's an experience and a great place to see things you won't see anywhere else! read more

Pretty bad when store employees are buying out allocated items as store opens Employees grabbing bottles most of the Eagle rare and wellers and running to their cars with them. Then checking out the cashier tells me "buying this bottle to trade it again I see". Wouldn't recommend a business like this. read more

Good selection of beer but very little selection if you want it cold. Go to Hy-Vee for cold beer. Also if there is no price visible, ASK. They don't show a price on the shelf/display for very expensive beer. I ended up at the checkout with a Goose Island that was $24 for a 12 oz. bottle. Surprise!!!!!!! read more

I love the store. They have great prices, great selection (not just wine), and a nice ambiance to the store. When I've asked for assistance, the personnel have been very nice and very helpful. What I just cannot figure out is why the cashiers are the complete opposite from everyone else in the whole store. In all the times I have been there, I would never rate the checkout process as more than just neutral, and at least half the time as downright negative. From my first time there to tonight, and several other times, I would classify the cashier (never the same person) as "snotty". I could see one or two people having a bad attitude every once in a while, but this seems to be more the norm than the exception. That won't stop me from going there, but it is something that I definitely believe can be improved. (P.S. Huh? I'm not from San Fransisco. I'm from Eagan!) read more

I've been a fan of Total Wine since they opened up a store in Burnsville so I'm really happy that they've opened another one in Eagan, closer to where I live (not that Burnsville was that far). This one is located in the new development area of Eagan called Central Park Commons. It's one of the first stores to be open but many other shops are still under construction so driving around that area is a bit of a nightmare. Just like the name, Total Wine & More has every kind and brand of wine as well as a lot of hard liquor and beer. The store is huge but every section is clearly labeled so it's easy to navigate through the aisles. Every staff is knowledgeable and are always willing to help you find what you're looking for! Was super excited heading into Total Wine because I heard that they had a really expansive build-your-own 6 pack section and I love trying new & special beers. Unfortunately, the staff was not as friendly or helpful as I would have expected. I was followed around the store by a young sales associate, never once was I asked if I needed assistance- just closely watched by a guy randomly doing "inventory" apparently only necessary in the aisles I happen to be in. At one point I heard a manager quietly radio another associate of my location, needless to say inventory was then picked up down that aisle as well. It feels absolutely terrible to be profiled like that and it's unfortunate it's still happening in 2018. I will be returning what I purchased and never coming back. read more

Felt a bit guilty going here rather than my corner liquor store but I was already at DSW and was assigned to get something for Easter so went there last second on impulse. We were greeted shortly after arriving and the person asked what we were looking for. We are not that into this whole wine thing and are introverts who really just prefer to be left alone while shopping. The person asked a few questions about what we were having and pointed us in the right direction, which was fine. We headed there but barely had started looking at options before the same guy came over and started asking more questions. I don't doubt that others view this as service and like it, but it wasn't what we were looking for and we hadn't led him to believe we were. Short story long we went to check out but couldn't buy anything because we didn't BOTH have IDs along (I rarely carry mine). We did have one and are 30 years old but that wasn't enough. Wasn't for me. Heading back to Black Diamond where I feel more at home. read more

Worst total wine I have ever been to. The overall store layout is horrendous compared to others and you cannot find anything. I actually had the audacity to ask for help last Friday and the "wine expert" was rude and snobby when I asked about a cheaper bottle (15-20). I love total wine... hate this location.
