I was going to come in as a new client and wanted a simple haircut but was informed they were not accepting new clients that would require hair washing; they only wash hair for established clients using their own products. This was very odd!! I wondered if I had to wash my own hair and blow dry it at home PRIOR to coming in; after I asked this, she said flatly this would cost me $50; basically feeling like she was shutting me down. Listening to her talk about her protocols, I already knew this was NOT a place I would like to spend money. This is a salon in PCB -- not Vidal Sassoon on the Gold Coast of Chicago!!! My hair had to be cut off because of the damage. I have natural curly hair, it is just now getting a little curl back to it. But nothing close to what it was before! Now, it's hardly growing and continues to fall out. Then, they posted one of my personal pictures on their Facebook page and have yet to take it down after me asking multiple times. The owner was sweet, did not charge me for what they did and reimbursed me for a wig I had to get and some products. But my hair is not the same and not growing normally. It has caused such damage to my self esteem I can't begin to explain.
