I went in for a physical. I was impressed by how comprehensive it was! I was there for about two hours, not waiting but getting every rest imaginable. I found the Nurse Practitioner (Joanna Nance) to be knowledgeable, very friendly, and willing to take time to talk with me. The nurses and reception staff were also friendly and attentive. I found the facility to be clean. The only thing that surprised me was that I was charged a $20 copay at my follow up visit to just talk with Ms. Nance about the results of the tests. I'm in Nedicare, and have never had to pay a copay unless it was for a specialist. All in all though my experience was good. I would recommend them for a physical exam at least! read more

It turns out that my daughter was complaining about pain when urinating. My imagination is that maybe she has a urine infection because she's only 3 years old. She's learning to clean herself. So I found this clinic. The title was given by urgent care or primary care. My husband and my 17-year-old daughter took her. I couldn't go because I'm undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatment. For that reason, I couldn't go. I'm in recovery. It turns out that when my husband arrives at the clinic, at first everything was fine until he ask my husband for the insurance card ,so he could register her, he put me on speakerphone and the person who was assisting him sounded very rude and asked him questions and didn't let him answer he was barely going to answer the first question when she was already yelling on the third question that caught my attention ,she didn't let him talk, I told him, tell the lady to wait, tell her to let you talk, she heard me and maybe she got angry because of the comment I made, out of nowhere the lady says, that we can't accept her,we have to put a primary care doctor which is a lie because he clearly named it urgent care clinic, and I had call to confirm, (walk In patients are welcome ,)and I argue over the phone. I explained her that my daughter already have a primary care doctor. She doesn't need another one. Covid Info: They say "no mask, no service" on their front door, with diagrams on what appropriate mask use looks like, but there were 4 people in their waiting room without masks, and the front office staff didn't care when they were told. Don't let the sign on the front door fool you, they don't care if you're wearing a mask or not. They say "waiting room limit 10", but there were 15 people in the waiting room. They say "if the waiting room is full, please wait outside", but then they tell you they won't bother to call your cell phone and if you don't keep coming back inside to check, you forfeit your place in line (no wonder their limit wasn't being respected). They don't have the chairs socially distanced, so it's easy for the waiting room to be overloaded. They say "no family members accompany patients, except minors", and they actually enforce that one, while telling you that all of their rules are important. Gee, you'd think given Covid is spread by droplets, they'd actually care more about the CDC guidelines they say they're requiring. Don't go here if you can help it. read more

Went here once and most certainly will never go back again. I walked in to a completely empty waiting room, checked in and waited for about another 30 minutes while they "processed" my information. They called me up and asked for the copay, before I paid I asked how long it would be because I figured it would've been faster being that I was the only one there at that time for the first 15-20 minutes. I was told it wasn't really an urgent and that they're by appointment. Why does your building sign say urgent care outside, isn't that supposed to mean that you guys treat minor medical emergencies? She didn't give me a time estimate so we left. There were about 7 people behind the front desk standing around laughing, joking around and passing phones to show each other stuff. The patients that came into the facility were 20 minutes late to their appointment but still went back within 10 minutes. On top of that they were extremely loud and yelling. There were also signs up requiring masks but the one yelling wasn't wearing one and the staff said absolutely nothing to them. I have been going to Dr.Qasimyar and Scott Owen for over half a decade; they have always been extremely professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and are always very friendly. Doctor Q was able to successfully treat my blood pressure issue and a couple other ailments. I have recommended Total Medical Care to my family and friends. DR. AHMAD QASIMYAR IS AN UNCARING PHYSICIAN WHO SHOULD NOT BE IN PRACTICE. I'VE ALMOST DIED FROM BENZODIAZEPINE WITHDRAWAL BECAUSE OF HIM AND I SUFFER FROM PTSD AND OTHER COMBAT RELATED SYMPTOMS BEING A VETERAN. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTS. I HAD been a longtime patient at this clinic coming in for a medication that I need for combat related PTSD, Panic Disorder, and tardive dyskenisia. Being on a waiting list to get into Magellan I could only rely on this clinic to get me the medication I need which is known as clonazepam. 2 weeks ago I was seen by Dr. Ahmad Qasimyar whom decided it was not in HIS best interest to continue to provide me with a medication that I need to help me get through my panic attacks, yet alone all the memories of people and children front killed in Afghanistan. He had no remorse whatsoever. This doctor may be rated as a good doctor but to me, he is no different than all the other pieces of shit doctors that are only interested in them selves. I'm still going through withdrawal from his decision. If anyone would want to advocate for me, please do. He should not be in practice. I want to make a strong point about how rude and disrespectful the girl "Marie" at the front desk is. I'm a veteran with combat related PTSD but I don't get any va benefits. I went because I needed a note for my fibromyaltia. The woman Dr./practitioner was very ruid. I think she thought I came in for pain meds. My sup needed 1 for hr to explain the fibromyaltia. She came in with attitude and left with attitude stating let me look at your chart and I'll get you a prescription. She thru me off first like she was attacking me. I work for a living 7 days a week and I definately didn't need to be treated that way. I walked out with nothing. I guess when you treat most people that are on welfare you automatically expect people are wanting pain meds. If I sound angry I am. No one should be treated that way period. read more

The quality of front office staff has gone from how can I help to I'm annoyed with everyone. I got Covid-19 and called Total medical to see a Doctor for help. I was told I will not be seen and I didn't even get a call back from a Doctor. I ended up in the ICU at Banner Thunderbird hospital for 3 weeks fighting for my life. Now that I'm home I can't even get Total medical my primary care giver to help me with my short term disability paperwork. So I can finish healing before I go back to work. When I called the office I specifically asked to see a family Dr not a PA. Receptionist promised me that I will see dr Q but I never did because I was seen by a PA who was in a rash and didn't listen to what was the reason for my visit, all she did was prescribe me with wrong medicine. When I complained and said I want to see dr Q for the amount I paid they told me they wont let me see the dr and I have to pay again. Very unpleasant experience. Do not use this facility if you have other options. I went in to get a refill of my high blood pressure medication that I have taken for over 10 years. The Doctor I saw said she couldn't give me a prescription without blood tests and told me when I return there would not be another charge for coming in. I had the blood work done and returned to the facility. The doctor I saw was not in and was instructed to come back tomorrow by the greeter. When I asked why I couldn't see someone else, the greeter said I would have to pay another $95 and when I come back tomorrow I would have to pay the fee again. "It was their policy" Even after I was told by the doctor I would not have to pay again. Clearly this facility is more interested in collecting fees than taking care of people that need help. I can't understand their walk in and appointment, I had an appointment at 05:30 and they called me at 06:30. What does an appointment mean to them. Amazing experience and I couldn't be happier! In such a fast pace world, we usually end up feeling like just a number, especially when visiting a doctors office. Usually you have to wait in the waiting room for a grueling amount of time and then you are led to your private room where you then sit and wait forever just to be greeted by someone who is staring down at their paper while you try to explain your symptoms just so they can rush on to their next patient. It was the total opposite experience for me at this place! When I was there, it was Rochelle Peña who cared for me and she is amazing!! She was so kind and compassionate. She took the time to really listen to my concerns and made me feel very comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient! I could tell that she knew exactly what she was talking about and she truly cared about my health. I left there feeling a million times better about my concerns because of her patience and empathy towards my situation. Dr. Qasimyar has been been my primary doctor now for several years. He has always been very professional and friendly to me. I unfortunately have had an issue with high blood pressure (and a couple other significant medical issues) for a number of years and Dr. Qasimyar was able to treat all of my medical conditions successfully. I now have my blood pressure under control. Also, in the course of the past several years, I have been helped by his Physician Assistants: Scott Owen, Megan Rowe, and Meredith Villarreal. They all have high standards and have been nothing but professional and nice. The office, the waiting room, and the patient rooms are always clean. Highly recommended! read more

The place feels like a depressing free county medical clinic and " support staff- eg takes your blood pressure and weight etc. seem uncomfortable with the public and unprofessional- but once you see one of their PA's - they are excellent at diagnosing and ordering the right tests etc. Very Impressed with all Dr Q's PA-C's on staff BUT ... heres the good news! The doctor (not actually a doctor though- he's a PA-C- Physicans assistant) named Peter T. was Awesome! I was referred to Total Medical Care by a friend and I had a great experience. I was able to get an appointment the same day that I called and only had to wait a short amount of time before I was seen. I saw Nurse Practitioner Rochelle Peña pre-covid and she was very attentive when she saw me and was very friendly. She took her time with me rather than rush through the process, which I really appreciated. I was diagnosed with Bronchitis and although I know she sees many of the same patients with similar symptoms, she listened to everything that I had to say about how I was feeling without rushing me. She gave me clear instructions of what to do and told me to reach out again if I didn't feel better within a certain time frame. I would highly recommend going to see her. The reception staff was very friendly as well and made things go smoothly right after my appointment was finished. I was in and out of there within an hour or so. read more

Quite terrible. Misleading, rude, unprofessional and will do whatever is necessary to charge you as much as possible. After just shy of a 2 hour wait, I saw Dr/Nurse Meredith Villarreal to complete my FMLA paperwork. She told me she could fill out FMLA paperwork, charged me $80 for it & faxed to FMLA provider. My FMLA provider later informed me that the paperwork was not filled out and instead was referred out to another doctor that was qualified to treat my condition. After a week's effort and a dozen calls, Meredith refused to take my calls & said (per the receptionist) that I'd need to make another appointment and charge me in order to speak with her. A complete wast of time and $80 incomplete paperwork and $20 for the office visit. Save your money, this place is a joke. read more

Every visit I've had has been professional and the right course of action has been given. Total Medical Care deserves more than five stars. I have always been extremely pleased and thankful for their whole team. My two kids and I have been patients at their clinic since 2010. In my review, I'm going to mention a handful of employees who stand out from their highly profound organization. Greg is one of the medical assistants and I have had the opportunity to witness his excellent work ethic for years. He is proficient in everything that he handles while showing compassion for the patients. Joanne has amazing intuition after examining my daughter's knee, she immediately had an x-ray done at the office and ordered a referral to an Orthopedic surgeon. Due to Joanne's quick reaction to my daughter's knee, she got the surgery she needed for her rare condition which is called Discoid Meniscus. After surgery, she got to return back to doing what she loves which is Martial Arts and she is stronger than ever before. Rochelle is wonderful at understanding and taking all your concerns into consideration. She took her time to talk to me and ask all the necessary questions. Once I explained my situation, she ordered all the lab work needed for my health and peace of mind. There's so many more great experiences I can share but the ones I mentioned in this review have been life changing. This next person I am going to mention is at the top of my list for her customer care. She has improved both of my children's health. My children have been seeing her for the last year twice a week. The Allergist Xochitl goes above and beyond during each visit. She is a hard worker and I appreciate all the knowledge she shares. At first I said no to the immunotherapy because I was nervous. But after having many informative conversations with Xochitl, I knew she was someone I could fully trust. Xochitl is one of the most motivated, professional, and driven person I have ever come across. She truly puts her heart into her work. My son hasn't had any asthma issues for the last six months which is a miracle because it was a struggle he was dealing with consistently. I am so grateful for how committed Xochitl is in helping and improving her clients overall health. I also want to give a big shout out to a well-known talented Dr. Ahmad Qasimyar for putting together a sensational team. Every aspect of your team is flawless. First let me say that the doctors here are Awesome! They are informative and have great bedside manor. However, have to put up with the most unprofessional front office staff I have ever dealt with. They act as if they are too busy to care about the patient. God forbid you try calling. You will find yourself on hold for at least 30 minutes with no human contact. If you are lucky to get someone on the phone good luck getting basic questions answered... you know like how much is a copayment (even though they have your insurance information). These ladies need to be trained or fired. Please understand that I have had several issues with the staff. I only keep returning because the doctors are so Great. But I'm growing weary and am trying to keep from letting the front office have it. read more
