I really wanted to gain confidence in a gym setting so I reached out to David. I called and we set up a meeting to discuss goals and expectations at his facility. When I arrived I was so nervous! He was so nice and patient with my axiety and everything went well. I started the sessions and I quickly gained confidence being in a gym environment. Every person that walks through the doors are so nice, supportive and respectful of each other. It is a group setting, but everyone has their own goals. He writes personalized exercises on a whiteboard and works with each person individually. No one is doing the same exercises as anyone else nor do you do the same exercise each visit. David demonstrates the exercise and ensures proper form. He explains what the target areas are and what you should be feeling. He also rotates from person to person to give you time to do your thing but keeps checking on you to make sure everything is going okay. He does include tension releasing techniques/exercise's which is a huge plus if you have tension or pain in any areas. Bonus: He provided two meal plans. All in all, great experience!

He is a down to earth family man and very easy to talk to. David is also a great personal trainer with a lots of experience and patience. He is very mindful of you capabilities, and he personalizes trainings based on your goal and avoid injuries at the same time. I highly recommend this place.

I'm a regular and attend classes at two locations, but Fair Oaks will always be my home. I have met some very genuine people who I consider them as my Pilates family. All instructors are different; however, I get something out of all of them regardless which makes me better. I encourage everyone to listen to your bodies and Pilates will take care of the rest. After I had a very bad injury and was in bed recovering for 7 weeks & had limited mobility due to pain for 3 more months. My daughter convinced me that I must go to Pilates. Thanks to my Chiropractor ( Dr. Peterson at Folsom & Granite Bay), he gave me the permission to start and try. It was hard and confusing at first because I did not know the terminology & positions. But thanks to some of the instructors who took the time to correct me & thought me modifying the moves to my body, I eventually picked up the pace. I had private lesson with Sheryl which was totally worth it to make sure not get injured again. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. And the instructors are phenomenal. Codie, Elise, Valerie, Mary S, Lane, Alyssa, Geraldine and Lara thank you for correcting me, encouraging me & allowing me to challenge myself and move to a higher level. Thanks to your guidance and patience I have felt better physically and experiencing less pain. I work so I cannot make it to all classes but I do my best not miss any class that fit my schedule because I love each class and Club Pilates. I have been taking spinning classes under the instruction of Davidjon for a couple months now, and would probably look a little different if I attended regularly. But, hey it's my summer right now and I have vacations to go on and mornings to sleep away. Davidjon is an awesome, motivating instructor that came from a bigger gym chain before he opened this business. There are spinning classes 2 times a day all week and one on Saturday. He also does private personal training sessions as well. See his website for more details! He also gives quite an incentive if you are signing up for classes for the first time. Also, if you want to check out a spin class the first class is FREE! So, what have you got to lose? As for spinning itself, it's an amazing workout! If you haven't tried it you are seriously missing out! The music selection is awesome and gets me going and motivated to work out hard during the 6am hour, which is normally when I attend. The 6pm classes are pretty crowded, which is why I avoid them. Plus, the traffic on Sunrise is a disaster at that time. What's also cool is that on my way there in the morning, I get to drive through the cute town of Fair Oaks and I can hear the roosters crowing to greet me and wake me up! I am totally an advocate of local businesses and I am so glad I found this place. I was just exploring the neighborhood and saw the big sign outside that read SPINNING. I went in and talked to Davidjon, attended the next class I could and am now hooked!

I have always found the gym intimidating and working out a chore, but Angela has taken away the intimidation and created workouts that I enjoy doing. As someone who used to go to public gyms often, Angela provides tips and tricks to working out comfortably in a public setting. The workouts she creates for you have a variety of exercises, so you aren't doing the same ones every time. She also understands that you aren't always going to be motivated to go to the gym and has created workouts that can be done at home. Angela encourages you to listen to your body, so you do not injure yourself by lifting too much weight or using improper form. Angela demonstrates the correct form before having you perform the exercise, but also provides immediate feedback if she sees incorrect form. I really appreciated this as I have injured my back before and was scared to reinjure it. Angela taught me the signs that told me I was completing an exercise incorrect and was putting strain on my back. In addition to the workouts, Angela teaches you about how your eating habits affect you gut microbiome. I learned so much about cooking oils, macronutrients/micronutrients, supplements, and so much more, but it never felt like I was forced to learn or do anything. Angela provides you with the information, and lets you decide what you do with it. Unlike other personal trainers, who want you to be reliant on them forever, Angela wants you to be comfortable with working out so you can go to the gym by yourself. I have learned so much from her and am so thankful that I had the chance to work with her. She has truly changed my habits (and life) for the best.

She also gave me some helpful tips on nutrition, but the best part is that I got to take all my exercises with detailed instructions home, so I can do it on the days I don't have classes at home.
