Our a/c unit stopped blowing air on one of the hottest days of the year (110°). Originally, I was going to use my home warranty to get this problem fixed, but their company couldn't come out for 5 days! I understand it's a busy time of year and companies are stretched thin, but the house was close to 85° inside - not good for my daughter with asthma or our pets. I called around town to see if anyone else was available any sooner and wasn't able to find anyone. A friend suggested that I call Chase and I'm so glad I did!! He came out the next day (he was nice enough to squeeze me in). Thankfully, it was a quick fix and an hour later we had cold air blowing again! To be honest, I've tried to do much of my home maintenance myself. I'm pretty handy and sometimes simply by going to YouTube and other DIY (Do It Yourself) website, I can figure things out on my own. But there is a line that I draw and two of them are electrical issues and air conditioning. We moved to this neighborhood nearly four years ago and the previous owners likely didn't have any HVAC service. But just a few days ago when we had 105 degree heat (yup...it's a crazy world out there!) our A/C decided it wasn't going to work well. I went online looking for answers as to why my A/C wasn't pulling the temperature in my home to 76 degrees like we normally keep it. After some research, I narrowed down the likely cause: low refrigerant (sometimes misnamed as Freon). Where to turn??? After talking to a few neighbors about who to use, someone we knew mentioned giving Total Comfort a try. It's Sunday as I write this, and Chase, the owner, just left my house. Yes...he does Sunday house calls. And I called him at 9:30PM last night and he said he would be at my house the next day. And I know he's slammed with other calls since a few others I called were booked. Chase arrived on time and spoke to me with professionalism. He explained to me the reasons why my house wasn't cooling and he told me in terms I could understand without being condescending. We also spoke about our families and found him to be a family man that is willing to work hard to provide. He's a true entrepreneur and I think he will take his new business very far. Turns out he worked for years for another company but has ventured out on his own. He thinks that doing things his way will provide a better experience for his customers and his business will foster on its own. I, too , am an entrepreneur, so I know how hard it can be to get the right footing. But the way he took care of my family (by being in a cool house) at an EXTREMELY reasonable price, even for a Sunday house call, will have me putting his number at the top of the list when it comes time I need another HVAC service. Total Comfort Services - Chase's service truck parked outside my house today. 100 degrees outside...75 inside! - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Yuba City, California

Very frustrated with this company. The first time the air conditioning went out the property management called them and it was I believe a Thursday and we had to wait until Monday for them to come out. One month later we are having the same problem as last time that they had fixed. I called today on a Wednesday and they're telling me that they cannot come out to look at the problem that they supposedly fixed the first time until Monday. I explained that I have young children and animals and that it is supposed to be 107° on Sunday and Monday and this is something that they had fixed the last time that they were here and they told me sorry nothing that they could do. It seems to me that if you wanted to really help out your customers especially ones that you've already came to their house you would make some kind of an effort and figure out a way to make time to see them within five days. read more

We had an extensive HVAC job done by them including all new duct work, new HVAC unit installation and roof repairs. All of this occurred on the roof and two upper apartment units of a Victorian home. Great company! Chase is an awesome, honest, down to earth guy that will go above and beyond to help with whatever heating and air problem you may be having. The furnace at my rental property went bad, and Chase came by to check it out -- didn't feed me any lies, didn't try to sell anything I didn't need, he showed me exactly what the problem was and gave me an honest quote/assessment. His guys came out two days later and got the furnace replaced, and they too went beyond just replacement by checking out the rest of the heating/cooling system and performing maintenance without additional cost. Avoid the big name companies that simply try to sell you parts you may not need; give Total Comfort a chance. The prices are VERY fair as well! read more

Let me start by saying the guy that came to the house was very nice and tolerated our dogs well. We called to have an estimate created for an entire new system. Condenser, coil, furnace and some duct work. We just bought a house went to use the air and found someone cut the old lines. I've never had a quote without being given the estimate right then. But as he was leaving he said he was very busy and had 3 more estimates and we should have a response first thing in the morning. So as noon rolls around I called the office and the lady said her supplier hadn't got back to her with prices. Keep in mind the equipment needed for my house is complete run of the mill and absolutely nothing special or different than any other 2200 sq ft 2 story house. So this is equipment that I'm sure is quoted every single day. But when I called she said she would end up having to call her supplier to get the prices and might be able to get me a quote today. Timing and follow through apparently don't mean much. So unfortunately I will be moving forward with a different company. - I upgraded it to 3 stars. They were prompt at beginning and came same day for the quote. The guy did show up on time. My main problem was not following through after the appointment and when I called, absolutely felt like I was a non priority and that I would be making her go out of her way to get the estimate for me. But I've never used them before and the beginning was great so shall leave it at 3 stars for now. read more

Look no further, here is your local HVAC company. Chase provided quality work, an affordable price, communicated what he was doing and how my system worked (and how to maintenance it), and looked out for me....the customer. He arrived within the service window, was done in under an hour (though I asked a lot of questions), and though a part of my AC system could have been replaced (original installer broke it), he explained it didn't need to be at this time since everything was functioning fine. In other words, he won't run the bill up, unless you really need it (unlike when you take your car to the shop). Thanks again Chase! read more

What a lifesaver!!!!! My ac broke last Friday of all days...triple digit temps. I also have a 11 month old son and was freaking out hoping I could get someone in ASAP. I pulled up my yelp app and started calling down the list. Pretty much everyone in town was booked till Monday or later. I told each one I needed to find someone that could come that day because of my son and only Total Comfort Heating & Cooling cared enough to squeeze me in. Chase showed up when he said he would and within 20 mins diagnosed and fixed my ac. The best part was that he didn't even charge me extra for the emergency after hours call and the bill was much lower than I thought it would be. He basically charged me for the service call and the part he replaced. Chase is also the owner and you can definitely tell he cares about his customers and his business. He's honest and knowledgeable. There are lots of companies that could have easily guaged me for that service call and I would have paid their steep prices because of my baby but I'm glad I didn't have to. I would never do business with this guy again. He is very arrogant and takes his time , doesn't take into consideration making you wait weeks in the heat wo a/c is difficult . I got the impression from him that because you live in Yuba City, your stuck and just have to wait it out. Im not sure if he's honest yet, time will tell. I would never used him again nor would I recommend him to anyone in town. read more
