Today was my second time using Tot Squad to clean my girls car seats and stroller. Once again, they did a fabulous job and everything looks like it did when it came out of the box. When our house gets dirty, we hire a maid. When our car gets dirty, it's time to go to the car wash. Soiled sheets get thrown in the wash. And who among us hasn't squatted instead of resting our precious rears on a public restroom seat? Why then, I asked myself, do my kids not deserve to sit in car seats that aren't encrusted in months' accumulation worth of kid snacks dressed with any number of spilled beverages and bodily fluids. "We really need to take those car seats out and [burn them] clean them out next weekend," is a common idea in our household that has only been acted on in extreme circumstances. In other words, it's only happened twice in our nearly 7 years of parenthood: Once when our beloved elderly male cat decided to urinate on our baby and his car seat during a road trip and another time when our son projectile vomited all over it. We decided to come to terms with our procrastination and call the experts to get the job done. Tot squad came to our house and in about an hour, I could not believe my eyes (or nose) when I saw my kids' hardly recognizable car seats. They looked brand-spanking new and smelled fresh, thanks to their organic kid-safe cleaning products. Right up there with cleaning car seats, I'll admit to loathing installing car seats. Well, they installed them both perfectly and snugly, as the team are certified car seat installers. I could not have been more impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the crew. So if you're like me and so many other parents and in a perpetual state of procrastination when it comes to cleaning your children's car seats, then I'd highly recommend outsourcing it to the pros. I decided to try Tot Squad DC after receiving a discount coupon through a Facebook promotion. I booked an online appointment through their website on Sunday for the upcoming Tuesday at a convenient location just 8 minutes from my home in Centreville. The process was so easy! The staff person was so nice and professional. I booked the 30 minute cleaning for 2 car seats that my 4 year-old and 2 year-old have used and abused. Let me say that she did a superb job getting the car seats clean! It was a world of difference. Plus they reinstalled the seats too. I'll definitely be using Tot Squad again! read more
