I should have chosen the one with chile habañero, but that is sometimes too spicy. The enchiladas in green sauce were simple and good, if a little bland. The Sopa Aguascalientes was served with the ingredients in a cylinder, to which the server poured the hot broth. Again, it was okay, but rather bland and the bits of chile poblano and corn were tiny and few. I prefer soups without cream, but at least the broth, as described, had only a little cream. The meals come as is, no bread, tortillas or salsas unless requested. Service is polite. The ambiance is the best part. The patio dining offers great views of the park and stunning architecture. An added plus is the absence of beggars and unwanted musicians. The vibe is casual, but this being Santa Fe, the crowd is upscale. Given that, the prices are quite reasonable.

I immediately ordered the Lasagna Casera, and my mouth watered at the idea of mashed potatoes. As my order was made, I did notice the warmth and almost a bed & breakfast style to the inside, again, that seemed to erase the movement of traffic just on the outside. There was a flurry of patrons picking up items that had been ordered n bulk, so serving as a catering service for the wide variety as well was an indicator of the depth of influence of this restaurant. The owners/employees are very good-natured, posing for a picture a few days back when I stopped to take a photo, and the service is fast. The lasagna was delicious, and while I did enjoy having mashed potatoes, I felt they could be more substantial and less watery - the look is deciding but I cannot say they were awful, not at all. I just prefer them a little more weighty, yet, the sauce and consistency of the lasagna, and into pieces was perfect. I walked out more than full and with a very positive experience of an establishment that managed to slow down the pace of everything around me for a satisfying meal
