There were practices that charged more and practices that charged less, ones that gave you new teeth in one day. I chose Dr Orr's practice at Smile Center Family Dentistry in Terryville, CT. Treating me as part of her "family" at this practice was a deciding factor for me along with her education, commitment to advancing her skills and techniques, the cleanliness of her practice, the modern technology, all inclusive at one location, taking the time to educate me on all my options and why full arch implants was definitely an option. Why temporary teeth were a better option while waiting for full healing to take place to give me the best fit for the permanent arch in the near future that would last my lifetime. Working through her lunch, showing me my X-rays and explaining what she would do, what the difference between dentures and the full arch implants postop would look like and answering all my questions and concerns until I walked away fully understanding all my options and what each one would look like. And I had many questions. While I chose the full upper arch implants and have my temporaries in at this writing, Dr Orr delivered results that surpassed all my expectations. My remaining teeth were beyond repair being broken and so on, I explained that I wanted to have them all removed and denture's put in The woman cleaning my teeth listened to me very well when I told her to becareful with the cleaning and she did just that. The dentist removed a few teeth then told me she will remove the rest after the holidays so I can enjoy it. Before I returned though South Main Dental called me to tell me that the Dentist actually left the practice, like literally left and never returned. I was upset because she was gentle with me, but another dentist came in and took over her isn't like the lady yes he pulled a few teeth out also but afterwards he didn't prescribe me ibuprofen and amoxicellin. I ended up with infected gums and thank goodness I had a little left of each to help me get through the pain I was dealing with. I just wish dentist offices had a policy to when teeth are pulled make sure the patient goes home with those two items.

When I returned for further treatment, I discovered that part of the tooth root had been left behind, requiring another procedure to remove it. Following that procedure, I again experienced uncontrolled bleeding. I subsequently returned and was diagnosed with dry socket, which required my gum to be reopened and treated for a third time, despite the severe and agonizing pain I had already endured. Ultimately, I was referred to an oral surgeon, where the tooth had to be sectioned into pieces for removal. The extraction was extremely traumatic, involving significant force and pressure to restrain my head during the procedure, and another portion of the root was reportedly missed. The front staff is nothing but rude and condescending, whether you are there for an appointment, scheduling an appointment, or calling for any other reason. After contacting the office, the receptionist got an attitude and hung up on me because they were calling the wrong phone number for a patient. The billing department is even worse. Apparently a code was changed with our insurance, which we were unaware of, yet when I called the office to discuss it, I should have apparently knew this and called them much sooner, extremely rude behavior by everyone other than the hygienist. I told the office to listen the recorded phone calls so they could properly train their staff on how to treat patients.

I still have no payment back from them. Very shady operation. My insurance stated is all they had to do was put send payment direct to member. So now I double paid since they apparently kept my money. I'm sure I'm annoying them with my calls but they are horrible at communication. Would never go back or recommend.
