We came for our honeymoon and got the room with the ocean view patio- gorgeous!
Here is an honest review of the hotel, the activities & the restaurant:
The hotel & rooms:
* The place is picture worthy for every corner. Our room was modern and beautiful, and the whole hotel has this organic vibe. All the material and products used are local and everything smells like what you expect of Spain- I am in love.
* The free breakfast in the AM has a big selection and everything is super fresh. We really enjoyed our breakfast on the patio.
* Cons: the mattress sucks. Sorry there is no other word. And I couldn't figure it out our AC so it got really hot in the room, we had to open all the windows at all times (which, ok, first world problem...). The pool is not heated and it was chilly in October. Last one: the flies got insane on that patio so you're chasing bugs while eating breakfast
Restaurant:
* The food and drinks are definitely not cheap, $17 for a cocktail, you might as well get the $7 glass of wine, and between ~$18-25 for any entrees for lunch. The food is very good though
* The restaurant is pretty and waiters are nice and we really enjoyed eating our breakfast out and our lunch by the pool
* The tasting menu experience we are split on, it was good, but the whole experience took over 2h and by the end we were just dying to leave. The extra for lobster in one opinion was not worth it, we love our good old cold water lobster and the Spanish lobster is just meh.
* Their wines are great, I loved them all! The rose is surprisingly good, and the glass is $7, pretty cool!
Activities:
* They have free yoga classes every morning at 9am and our teacher was great. It was only the two of us one morning and the experience of having a private teacher adjusting us was awesome
* The boat excursion with Ignacio was the highlight of our trip. His boat is gorgeous, he speaks English and French and he is super interesting to chat with, and he showed us an amazing time from putting together a cute table for our lunch picnic to taking us to the most secluded Cala. I highly recommend doing this. Note though, you do have to pay $150/hour of gas on top of the price of the boat. But trust me, don't plan anything afterward, you'll get for your money worth and might get some extra time on the water
* We got a 90 minutes Torralbenc massage and had a great time. The spa is quiet and cute.
Overall we had a great time at Torralbenc.
Pro-tips:
* get your yoga in!
* for $5 you can get your breakfast delivered on your patio
* buy yourself one of those cute basket beach bag, they have them all over the hotel and you can get one at the spa for $42. Great souvenir to bring back! read more
