A lot of people were already in line to go in but I think there might be a lot more people. The tour was pretty much a self guided tour. The architecture and interior design are stunning and gorgeous. It is nice to see what a courtroom looks like outside of jury duty. There are volunteers who will help you if you have any questions. They have a survey/feedback to get ideas for improvements and what to do with Old City Hall since it's sitting mostly empty. A Slight Ceveat: It is an older building that accessed mainly by stairs so it's pretty limited accessibility.

I am fascinated by big buildings of all kind and this gothic palace-like structure did not disappoint the eye. Not fully aware of its historical background, I can imagine how long it's been capturing the attention of passersby. It stopped me in my tracks, literally. There's something about it that speaks strength and solid foundation. The way that it's immovable as it occupies its own space. The pointed columns and the clock tower - i love it!!! Old City Hall - "old" in this case will always contain elements of 'new' because it gets better with age!

Both line ups go by pretty fast. There was also a line up to see the mayor's office. I think you might be there a bit longer than when initially entering City Hall and using the elevators. It is pretty cool to see parts of City Hall that was accessable to the public during Doors Open. Tours were pretty much a self guided ones. Space might be a little crowded at times.

Toronto City Hall has a full-on World Cup glow-up for 2026…read more Nathan Phillips Square is the central hub of the city and right now it feels completely different in anticipation of FIFA World Cup on June 12, 2026. The pool rink is now covered with a bright green soccer turf and soon people can actually go out there to play in the middle of downtown. It's another city spirit display similar to fireworks and winter skating that takes place here. The TORONTO sign remains central to this square but now the main building is decked out with FIFA branding. You can tell there's a buzz in this air for this international fan event. There's also relatively affordable Green P city parking in the underground especially on weekends. The one drawback to City Hall is the homeless and folks with mental health who roam around especially in the southwest corner. Skip it or hit it? It's a great photo spot and also where you can take in the heartbeat of this vibrant city.

better then your average post office, i've only come here to drop off packages, but its been a…read moregreat experience overall. this post office is located inside the shoppers drug mart thats inside the sherway gardens. the hours are the same as the mall hours, so its not hard to get the two of them confused. the service here is great, the staff are happy and eager to help, even if the line up is long, which happened once. transit options are the 15 evans 80 queensway bus, and the 123 B,C,D, and F north queen bus, and this post office is super close to the bus terminal as well which is a bonus. lots of parking available as this is a mall. would go out of my way to deal with this location.

It's easy to walk around and take in the details, with plenty of spots for photos. The guided areas are informative, though some parts are crowded during peak hours. The surrounding courtyard is peaceful and perfect for a short break. Staff are helpful and polite when approached for information. Be mindful not to touch or sit on them since they're rather old. There was also an art exhibition that we enjoyed while walking around the house.

I'm not sure if only certain rooms were closed off merely for Open Doors if things are always shut off but I only had access to certain rooms and there wasn't much in each room. There wasn't a guided tour so I kind of wondered aimlessly through two rooms on the first floor and the two on the second floor. That's not saying that the house isn't beautiful or that I didn't learn anything, I just didn't learn much. Since it was free during that weekend I didn't mind it, but don't think I'd run back again to do another walk through. I do think it's fascinating that they moved this home from one location to another, but don't know why they would put it next to a subway station on a busy street. If you're looking for a short amount of time to kill (maybe 30 minutes) then check it out, but there are plenty more interesting sites in Toronto of historical nature that I'd go to first.

At first I refused their help, but the emphasized that it wasn't busy, so they just took the envelopes and started stamping. SO NICE. Also, ample parking.

Had the worst experience ever in the Canada Post location. Often, my experience was always bad here…read morebut this time it was really bad that I have to write a review. They are always rushing customers. The delivery driver was very rude to me. He asked me, "are you gonna take any longer there?" and proceeded to say that since it's 5 pm my delivery is gonna be shipped tomorrow after 5 pm. I said that's fine. I was taking my time since I was sending my passport so I wanted to be extra careful to make sure that I got everything right and it was my first time sending documents to IRCC so I was a little bit confused on what to fill in on the envelopes. The delivery driver then proceeded to say to the post office worker "this girl is lucky that it was me if it was someone else, they would have left." That was extremely unprofessional, very rude, and unnecessary. That was completely unacceptable and I clearly said that I'm fine with my package being sent tomorrow so what was his issue. The post office worker was not that nice either. Whenever I asked him a question he reacted like I offended his whole family. Overall, the staff at Canada Post are not nice! So what are they even going on strike for if they do below the bare minimum.

It's a fantastic ecosystem for bees and small animals. Didn't love how far the bathroom was from the tea house/ garden restaurant (literally was offered a go cart ride), so go before you think you really need to. Service at the tea house was alright. Despite having many staff, it felt a bit hard to flag them down at times. We noticed too that they weren't too kind to people who didn't have reservations despite having a few empty tables that stayed empty for our entire dining time. I felt they could have offered to make a reservation with them on the spot or just apologized. Not everyone knows about this spot until they are on the grounds for a walk. The food itself wasn't really worth it. We ordered a few mocktails which were wildly sweet, but refreshing for this hot hot day. We ordered the poke bowl and it was pretty good. A lot of fresh veggies mixed in the bowl and flavour was light. Good and refreshing for a hot summer day by the beautiful garden fountain. The salmon soba noodles was not quite the same. My salmon was a bit dry which is either because it was over cooked or just refrigerated for too long. It's served cold. The soba noodles did not hold well. You can see in my photos that the noodles were basically just stuck in these hard chunks. Not twirlable at all and quite stiff. It was not great.. I was very disappointed. At that price point, you'd think they could atleast whip up fresh noodles for you. It was even more disappointing that they didn't even apologize or make any offers to salvage the experience. They just didn't seem to care much. It's a beautiful place but they're certainly not a great dining experience. It is incredible as an idea though so maybe just make a reservation to have a drink by the fountain.
