So much fun to see some of the miniature Toronto scenes that we had just seen minutes earlier in real life. And the whole thing really inspires me to get out and see more of Canada in the future. The level of detail is truly astounding and I could have easily spent several hours reading all of the signs and looking at everything. Favorites included getting to see the workshop where the artists work and chatting with one of them, the room that is kept extra cold to represent the far north, and the miniaturization station where they use dozens of cameras and a 3D printer to create miniature models of museum visitors that can then be taken home or placed somewhere in one of the exhibits. Such a fascinating exhibit that we loved and would definitely return to!

It is a very large venue in the basement of The Tenor. When it opened, it showcased the Golden Horseshoe, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Toronto, Quebec City, The Maritimes, West Coast (Vancouver, Victoria, Capilano, Okanagan, Tofino), and Northwest Territories. Everything is built to scale. There are moving vehicles and other animations. Each location is also shown in a 24h cycle in 15 mins or so. More Canadian destinations continued to be added, taking 9-12 months to complete. The Little North exhibit is kept in a cooler temperature-controlled room, so that guests can see their breath as they exhale! In Nov 2024, Mini Media was introduced for advertisements embedded within the exhibits like scaled miniature billboards, transit shelters, and murals. There is a Littlization Station. There are 128 cameras that take a 360 degree picture simultaneously of a visitor. They then make two 1/87th scale replica 3D printed models, one of which you take home, and one to be placed in any location you choose! Entry prices increase as there are more attractions added. You can also buy a yearly membership. The venue is open 364 days a year! There are cheaper prices for children (4-12yo), students, and seniors (65+yo). In 2023 Little Canada was named Ontario's Choice Awards Attraction of the Year by Attractions Canada. They do honour the Access 2 card. There is free WiFi. The venue is wheelchair accessible. There is a mandatory bag check (around $4) even if the bag is small. So don't bring any bags or backpacks if you want to avoid the fee. Free tours are offered by volunteers, check at the front desk. The collection is huge so be prepared to spend the entire evening to thoroughly enjoy the visit.

The place's theme was sustainability ad protecting the earth, and they made it pretty engaging. There are also things to interact with and watch. The VR with the tablets was actually surprisingly cool. Each room in the experience was so spectacularly made that it was breathtaking. Finally, the virtual reality experience at the end was one of the coolest things I have ever done in Toronto. Before you go, note that it is heavily reliant on technology. It is also best to have storage to download the app on your phone, unless you want to borrow a tablet. This was a cool experience that I would recommend for people of all ages.

I love how they combine art + technology to teach about climate change in a way that's easy for kids to understand. The VR feature and interactive elements were fun, and it's definitely a great place for families or anyone looking for something different to do in Toronto. That said, for the price (~$39), it may feel a bit short for some people, and it's more of a "go once" type of experience. Still, I appreciate the message behind it and think it's worth checking out at least once--especially with kids!

Who knew there was a museum in Toronto dedicated to SHOES! Founded by Sonja Bata in 1995 after…read morecollecting shoes since 1940. I was able to find street parking a couple blocks away. Admission is free on Sunday. The museum is 4 floors of well curated exhibits. Current exhibits, April 2026, include 'All about shoes' which chronicles the history of shoes, 'Rough and Ready: the history of cowboy boots' and 'André Perugla: a design legend unveiled'. While I was there, they were preparing for a new exhibit so the 'Sneakers and Artists' exhibit was closed. I was told they have new exhibits every 18 months. There is a small gift shop in the lobby. I spent approximately an hour and a half in the museum. Staff was informative and clearly passionate about the museum. I recommend a visit to The Bata Shoe Museum

Here is a bit more history about this beautiful house: The defeat of the rebels forced Mackenzie to flee to the United States. Pardoned in 1849, he returned to Toronto and resumed his political career. When Mackenzie retired from the provincial Legislature in 1858, his friends and supporters bought this house for him. Mackenzie lived here until his death in 1861, and in 1967 a new addition was built to re-create a 19th-century printing shop.

The venue had 2 movies going every 20 minutes. We spent over 2 1/2 hours just touring around since it was so vast. Joe even got a goal at the puck shot game, not me! When I lived in San Jose I had season tickets and would attend most games especially to see my Hawks kick the Sharks buts :) one major thing on my lifetime bucket list is now checked off. We came to Toronto especially for this but had a wonderful time there. I will review the fun places we went to. My daughter lives in LA so I'm planning to go this upcoming season to some LA Kings vs. Chicago Blackhawks.
