We tried out Torii for two months and were not impressed. The agent was inexperienced and wasn't knowledgeable about any of the Boston suburbs we are interested in. Besides, he didn't have anything valuable to add when touring a home. He was also not proactive and often takes a while to get us the comp that we needed. The customer service personnel was more proactive but we suspected that she's based in Florida. She is supposed to have local connections and able to get us info on homes before they come out. All we got were homes already on the market and she didn't have any local knowledge either. As enticing as it was to get our closing costs covered we realized at the rate we were going we will never be able to purchase a home, especially in this ultra competitive market. In my opinion, Torii is even worse than Redfin because at least Redfin has local agents with knowledge of the market. read more

Trying to buy a home in the Bay Area as been a nightmare! I am a normal working adult and could not compete with all these cash offers and people offering 100K or more over asking. Too many buyers and not enough inventory is the reality of the real estate market in San Jose. If it was not for my all star agent Jarman I would have given up. We had a great experience using Torii to purchase our home! Working initially with Mike Sokolowski and then Saad Munir, we were very impressed with the team's organization and coordination. Although Mike moved to a new role within Torii during our search, he made sure we didn't miss a beat by seamlessly introducing us to Saad.
