This hotel is located just outside the bustling metropolitan area, in a quieter, more relaxed part of the city which was exactly what we were looking for. We planned to explore both the city center and take a drive out to Barolo to visit some wineries, so the location worked perfectly for us. One major perk: the hotel offers free on-site parking, which made things super convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We booked the presidential suite, and it was absolutely lovely, spacious, comfortable, and a step above the rooms we had in other cities during our trip. I highly recommend upgrading to the presidential suite if you're considering a stay here. We would definitely stay here again!

The main red line is all that exists, so it's super easy to get where you're going and not get lost. A single journey ticket costs €1.70 (around $2.00 U.S.). If you're going to be in the city for longer, or if you plan on utilizing public transportation, there's an unlimited ride ticket that's good for 24 hours that costs only €5! It's easy to purchase tickets right in each station. There are machines that have Italian and English so it's easy to understand. I'd recommend using cash to buy your tickets but the machines also take credit cards. I felt extremely safe when riding the metro. I was also surprised at how clean the stations and trains are! I saw no graffiti inside the stations or trains, which is astounding for public transportation, especially in European cities. I rode the trains all hours of the day and night and never even saw any buskers onboard. Take a look around when you stop at each station; there are individual works of art that decorate each stop.

The room was huge and had beautiful details like crown molding, high-end materials and a walk-in closet. Equipped with robes, slippers and other luxuries we almost didn't want to leave the room. The hotel itself was really nice as well, and we almost felt like Kevin in Home Alone 2. The breakfast included an impressive selection of meats, cheeses, breads, etc. It's too bad we only had one night here! As for the area- we were able to walk to several nearby shops & restaurants. Parking was a breeze.

Great breakfast buffet each morning, nicely appointed and comfortable rooms, excellent showers. But, what sets this hotel apart is the service. All the staff are incredibly responsive and helpful. Parking is a breeze for only 25 euros. Just park outside the front door and your car is moved to a secure, private garage. If you will need again within the next couple of hours they will park in their interior courtyard. We used Turin as our base of operations, but on two occasions we left for two days (skiing at Courmayeur and bullet train to Rome). In both cases we didn't want to haul all of our luggage. No problem--they held our luggage until we returned. We enjoyed our time in Turin and will definitely come back. There's no question where we will stay--Grand Hotel Sitea!

This hotel is conveniently located, and moderately priced for a 4 star hotel. This is definitively…read morenot up the the standards of 4 star hotels. Fortunately, I've had better experience in 3 and 4 star hotels in Italy. Rooms are small, which is expected in a big European city, clean and basic. We had a room on the street, and it was very very noisy with traffic all night. Since the AC did not work we had the option to roast or open the window and hope to be tired enough to fall asleep despite the noise. The breakfast buffet was of low quality and like the rest of the hotel, it gave the impression that they were trying very hard to save money on everything you'd expect in a 4 star hotel. The staff at the reception was particularly annoying (actually I should say rude), making you wait for no apparent reason. When we first arrived to check in, they were 3 of them behind the counter and we still had to wait about 10 minutes (no apology) before they even dared looking at us. On the second day, I had the same problem; it's as if you are expected to wait, even to ask a small question, when there are no other client they need to attend to. It's quite unusual to experience such bad service, especially in a supposedly 4 star hotel. I'd say stay there for the price and convenient location, but expect more the level of service and amenities of a 2 or 3 star hotel.

I arrived very early in the morning and they still had a room ready for me on the top floor with a lovely view. That was greatly appreciated. The breakfast buffet is quite good with a nice variety of eggs, sausages, cheese, cold cuts, croissants, etc. The one negative though is that it's the same buffet every single day. Cons: While the room was very nice overall, the one big issue was the temperature. The room was extremely hot even when the thermostat claimed it was 18 degrees Celsius. In the end, I got a fan from downstairs and that at last allowed me to sleep in peace at night. The other annoying part was that there was no iron in the room. You have to call the front desk for them to bring it up to your room.

It has certainly become my top 3 favourite cities in the world and this hotel contributed to that ranking. Lovely hotel staff - check. Incredible Italian style old school rooms - check. Prime location in Torino - check. Celebrity hotspot - check (Madonna stayed here one week before we came and I am by no means a football fan, but I am told that I stood next to the prince of Juventus Football Club who was checking into the hotel in front of me). Seriously staying in this hotel transports you back into time. The timeless classical antique furniture is an authentic touch and adds a certain charm which resonates with the city of Torino. If you go to Torino, you MUST stay here for at least one night. You will not be disappointed.
