Best Persian food I've ever had. And I'm Persian. Get their signature dish, Gheymeh Nesar along with the koo koo sabzi.

Best paris persian food experience. Came from los angeles…read morethe capital of persian food. Food is great. Great experience we loved it

In the two different times we came here, we have tried the boneless chicken kabob, the baby chicken…read morekabob, and the hot tea. We came back here a second time because the food was delicious, but good food can easily be eclipsed by poor service, and that was the case the second time we came here. We were here for about two hours, most of that time was spent waiting. First, we waited to be served - both servers thought the other server had already helped us. Second, we waited for the food to come out. Finally, we waited for the check to come out. To elaborate on waiting for the check - we repeatedly asked our waiter for the check, and he kept telling us it would come soon but it never did. He rudely ignored us quite a few times when we tried to follow up. The other waiter (who was much more polite) explained to us that the delay was due to some issue in the kitchen - that explained the wait for the food earlier but we were waiting for the check, not food. Finally, we went up to the counter, saying that we would like to pay. The guy at the counter produced our bill and we paid immediately so we could leave. We noticed that other people were getting helped much faster than us. We weren't sure if they were snubbing us on purpose - either because we weren't Middle Eastern or because we spoke English - or if they were genuinely very swamped and we fell through the cracks. But for fine cuisine, for what we were paying, neither of these reasons is acceptable. There are plenty of other Persian restaurants in Paris - I recommend trying a different one.

Mazeh is the best Persian restaurant I've ever been to. And my Persian wife of 36 years agrees…read more Their fessenjan is the best ever. And my Persian mother in law ( who has slowly stirred fessenjan down to a thick black-purple paste) agrees! This is my mother in law's fessenjan. Mazeh's is a dead ringer for this. So if you like your fessennjan mouth puckeringly sour, this is the place. I'm attaching a photo of my mother in law's fessenjan. Mazeh's looks and tastes like hers. And that's as high a compliment as I can give to any dish. Oh, and everything else is fantastic. The kebab were all perfect. The tadig. The tea. The desserts. We've had all sorts of excellent high end dinners all over Paris, but this was the best meal in town in our opinion.

What a delight to find nice authentic Persian food in Paris. We were going to another Persian place…read moreon this street, but once we passed by Mazeh, which was oozing with good vibes and welcoming ambiance, I wanted to go no further. I don't know what it was - the beautiful lighting and decor, indoor/outdoor feel with the windows wide open on a warm night, the delicious smells wafting in the air, or that all the people inside seemed to be having such a good time conversing and dining - pure enjoyment! We were seated and I tried all my favorites: eggplant appetizer - delicious. Kebab koubideh - wonderful. Ghormeh sabzi stew - just perfect. The variety and quantity of Persian dishes on this menu was unlike anything I've seen at any Persian restaurant here in the States. Friendly service with the owner stopping by to make sure we had everything we needed. I only wish I could have come back a second time before leaving Paris.
