This is my favourite pizza place. Infact, the only place I will buy pizza from. Always lots of cheese and toppings, well worth the money.

This place came at the recommendation of a colleague who lives in St. Albans. Having been raised in…read morethe Itlaian neighborhoods of the NY suburbs, I have relatively high standards for an Italian deli. And this is a great little deli. The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly). Plenty of pastas, paninis, antipastas, and more. We placed a massive order for 5 people and sat outside. Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other's plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed. I didn't spend too much time looking, but there is a little shop as well which offers different sauces, pastas, etc. for purchase. They all look delicious, and great for a gift basket.
Lovely little authentic Italian deli with seating inside and out to sip the great coffee.read more

We shared the seasonal specials of linguine with pesto (SO fresh!) and homemade meatballs with spaghetti (meatballs were light and delicious) and our son had the Margherita pizza - lovely cheese, nice amount of tomato sauce and the crust was to die for! Thin, crunchy and delectable! The service was friendly and the ambiance, while a bit noisy, was warm and inviting. Will definitely return the next time we are in St Albans!

Best kept secret in St Albans!…read more The food is excellent, if you're a fish lover I recommend the seabass dish from the set menu. Sometimes I find a set menu to be restricted, but there is a wide range of dishes to choose from at Zaza's. Every Tuesday is 'Classic Italy Night' - two courses and UNLIMITED wine for £19.95... yes, unlimited wine! I thought the offer was too good to be true, but they have a table in the restaurant with open bottles of red, white and rose. You simply take your glass to the wine table and help yourself. Verdict: always had great service and good ambience.

Beautiful restaurant with some of the most awkward seating I've ever seen. We were seated at a corner table and my chair was surrounded decorative tree. There was a wicked draft coming in the window- which was easily fixed with the drink menu. Sometimes these little details matter, but tonight it did not. The food made us completely forget the quirkiness of environment. We started with the gamberi alla bursara (yum) then penne arrabiatta for the main course. Instead of the usual peperoncino, they used a green pepper. It didn't taste like arrabiatta usually does, but dang... it was great. I planned to take a few photos, but got caught up in eating. We will definitely be back.

The building started life as the public toilets but has now been converted a modern venue with attractive conservatory at the rear. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The menu serves traditional Italian fayre, pasta, pizzas and salads. It is of a good standard although you do wait a long time and built up an appetite. The drinks are quite reasonable and the wine selection is well stocked. The prices are a little expensive for what you get. The upstairs area is a good space for larger groups. I would recommend this place but not as a first choice.
