I don't know what Claire is talking about, our pizza was pretty great. Give them a try!

This place could be better if they improve their service…read more I wanted to go here based on co-workers reviews. I went on a Friday at lunch time. They were super busy and it was a bit chaotic. There are two places to order and on this particular day they were only receiving orders from one spot. This was not made clear (with a sign etc), and many people waited in the wrong line for a while before they were told to line up again in a different line. I find the menu very difficult to read and that can be intimidating when you go for the first time. If you are a vegetarian, you don't have too many options. There is an eggplant sandwich and a vegetarian pizza (that you have to wait 15 mins for). For a place that prides itself on being fast it was anything but. Also, the panini I ordered wasn't grilled. When I think of a panini I automatically think grilled, otherwise I would call it a sandwich. So I was disappointed over this. I got the fries with slaw and BBQ combo. Again I was disappointed when they gave a vegetarian meal gravy instead of BBQ sauce. This is what they gave everyone. So.. false advertising. I didn't ask to get it switched because the person I was with said they got the same stuff the last time they went. If the service improves it might we worth a visit for meat eaters. But I think I'll take my appetite to my other favourite restaurants (that I would argue are quicker at serving me).

Also they have 2 mascots the hungry bear and blueberry hound. My whole life as a child we stopped here a lot. Never saw them. One day last summer while driving by I SAW THE HUNGRY BEAR . My life is complete. I can die happy. Location: Right off i the highway, although now that the highway is being divided it's going to be soon accessible only by an off ramp Parking: Humongous lot, it's. Very popular stop in the summer. Very popular The inside: It's wooden outside and cute log cabin like woody in the inside. What you'd expect in North cottage country. Lots of seating. The goods: Fries and burgers and things you deep fry etc. What you'd expect to find. I do like the fries. You stand in line and order then wait for them to call your number. They go in order or how people orders so The staff: They are nice, they have to deal with a lot of people and they are still pretty pleasant. I don't know if I could be. I've stopped before and I'll stop again. I still haven't seen the blueberry hound!

Let's be honest, you aren't stopping here because you're looking for a fine-dining destination…read more You're stopping here because you're on an endless highway 3 hours from your destination and there's nothing to eat (or anywhere to use the washroom) for 50 miles before and after. Like an Oasis in the desert this place shows up when your kids couldn't possibly eat one more peanut butter cracker. It's the only game in town, and Hungry Bear knows it. That said... The food here is not half bad. The bacon cheeseburger was decent with lots of toppings (I do so love a pickle in a burger!), my kid enjoyed his BLT, and the fries were actually pretty yummy. The hot dog was well-done, but luckily my daughter likes them a little "cajun". The prices were high, but see above. Supply and demand is not in your favor here, friend. I strongly advise to skip the "combos" and just order a large fries for people to share, as the "combos" are all nearly double the price for a small amount of fries and a can of soda. Perhaps worth it if soda is a deal-breaker for you, but us water drinkers (from the car) saved a good chunk of change by ordering single sandwiches and then an order of fries to share. We sat outside on one of many picnic tables, which was nice because we could let the dog out as well. The moral of my story? Stop here because you have to, but prepare to enjoy a fair-to-average meal that quite frankly could be a whole lot worse. Try the fries. Safe travels, road warriors! Sidenote: Do yourself a favor though and check out the gift shop. Again, high prices, but it was 100 times nicer than I thought it would be. Lots of art, clothes, and Canadian kitsch.
