The place is well set up and very clean. The server was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The beer was very fairly priced. The pizza itself was pretty mediocre. Nice service, nice environment but really normal food. We heard this was the best pizza in town so we took a 40 minutes bus to get there. We had a burger and a pizza. Burger was kind of disappointing. The patty is too dry, and it was not100% beef, I felt like there was too much flour. I didn't try the pizza but my friend said it was very normal. read more

We tried this place for the first time in years and were very pleased. it's not fancy food but very hearty, tasty and fairly priced. We had to wait at the bar for a table and enjoyed a bottle of wine while chatting with the friendly bartender. The place is packed, which is always a good sign. They had to seat us in the extra space in the basement, which turned out to be a fun experience. The waitress there was fantastic and helpful. Two of us were celebrating a job promotion so we ordered a few things to share family style. The Village(?) greek style salad was excellent. Fresh veggies, big hunks of feta and light dressing. We had a couple of pasta dishes which were 'almost' as good as my Italian Nona's! Gnocchi and Manicotti were served in big portions and everything was really fresh and homemade. We got to take leftovers home. We also had a mix of small meat sides... those incredible meatballs are a meal on their own - so good, a few Italian sausages and one chicken souvlaki dinner to share, which was as good as any on Toronto's Danforth. After 2 bottles of wine, we were in gastronomic heaven. It felt like we were eating in Nona's house. The prices are fair and the service is top notch. I will come back again soon to this no-nonsense place with good family vibes. Two thumbs up. read more

Finally discovered this place. The deeply tinted windows make you wonder what's inside. It turned out to be a very clean well run restaurant with great food and even better prices ! A Sudbury gem. It closes at around 9:30pm or 10pm so be aware of that. The pizza and calzones were superb and drink prices were the most acceptable I have found in this overpriced dining town. For those staying at the Travelodge it is only a 6 minute walk to Tony V's. read more

As a kid, I've always enjoyed Tony V's pizza, the sauce they make here is phenomenal, however, this time I was left a bit... disappointed in one of their menu specials. The special included a BIG order of Gnocchi, some meatballs, and some garlic bread. First, It needs to be stated that the Meatballs, and Garlic bread were fantastic, the meatballs had a strong taste, tasting of pork or even veal instead of standard beef, in a savory sauce I've grown to expect from Tony V's, the bread wasn't bad either having a crisp, burnt taste, lots of garlic offsetting it, not great, not bad. As you might have already guessed, the issue was with the Gnocchi. The Gnocchi I've had at Tony V's in the past have been great, firm in form, good taste, with a soft chewy texture. The sauce has always been applied evenly enough that you aren't left wanting. Well this time I was left shocked at how the Gnocchi was far too soft, and barely enough sauce applied to the dish... I felt like I was eating Instant Mash when my fork broke into the pasta, I wasn't picking at small pieces of Gnocchi, but scooping mushed parts of them. I was soundly disappointed, I've come to expect higher quality food from Tony V's over my existence here, (i.e. my whole life). I'd recommend the Pizza, but not this particular plate of Pasta folks. read more

Best wings in town .....I had wings last week with friends and a few beers ....Wings were so great best I ever had ! Highly recommend the restaurant for their pasta ....the service is excellent..great smiles ! Ordered a pound of wings, after about 20 minutes got something that was more like 1/2 a pound and 2 tiny carrots. They were ok, but I would not visit this place again. Still left a decent tip because I felt sorry for the waitress. read more
