This is a beautiful shopping centre within the walls of the council house itself. There are a couple of galleries, which always have interesting stuff in, although the prices make me run away usually! At Christmas, they have the prettiest, largest Christmas tree in Nottingham, towering up at the cross point of the arcade. It really is worth a visit in December, and I make a point of using the arcade as a cut through - it also gets you out of the wind and rain for a few minutes!

No trip to Nottingham is complete without a visit to this local gem! Part gift shop, part DIY craft…read moreheadquarters, and part tea room (!), Debbie Bryan's never fails to inspire and delight both myself and my husband. I find myself wanting "one of everything" in the shop when I visit, so consider yourself warned! Located in the historic Lace District, it's only appropriate that Debbie also sells artworks featuring old lace patterns salvaged from a former local factory. There's many other artsy, cool and interesting shops & restaurants to be found close by in the 'hood so it's worth making an afternoon of it. Truly delightful!
