I had heard lots of great reviews about this place from a colleague who is also an existing client so I called them to arrange a free consultation for laser hair removal. As I had a course of IPL treatments in the past with another salon that I wish I never attended - I still had full hair regrowth on my legs after 6 sessionswhich cost me a lot of money and time so as you can imagineI was cautious of the same happening again. At my consultation everything about the treatment was explained in full and all of my concerns where answered regarding the type of lasers they use (medical grade which are the best) and the results I could expect from having a full course of treatments. I then had a patch test with the nurse which was part of the consultation and free of charge What I also really liked about the staff at this clinic is that they are not pushy sales people at all they're all so friendly and helpful and seem to really care about their clients. So I booked in the following week had the option of paying per single treatment or for a course. I opted for the course because you then get 50% off which worked out an amazing price. I'm finished my course of treatments now and it is the best thing I have ever done. Shaving my legs wouldn't ever enter my head now because there's actually no hair to shave...happy days! I went there because I wanted to know more about Lip fillers using Juvidum, Dr. Paul helped me understanding the types of fillers and the different shapes and measurements of lips that I can go for if I wanted so. We also went through pics and discussed the side effects if any appeared to happen. This appointment was very helpful to me to have better understanding of what I need to know. Any way, before i go to see Dr. Paul, I heard a lot about how painful lip injections can be, but, My best friend had her filler done by Dr. Paul and told me That she hasn't felt any thing as the Dr. was very professional. I had a photoshoot and went there to get my eyebrows shaped. Firstly, I had to buy a mask that gave a big rash around my mouth, then I felt a lot of pain after the work underneath my eyebrows. I thought it was just because my skin was somehow more sensitive than normal but I found out the next day, I had a very bad burn under my eyebrows. I contacted them initially about the issue with the mask, just to alert them and help other customers and I got an email with a long explanation of how it was not caused by them and how other people were not affected. So I thought it was pointless to tell them about the severe burn I had. The pictures are attached. Today is day 5 and it still hurts quite a lot.

After a very long week, I felt the best way to cheer myself up is to go to a Spa. Of course. Who…read moredoesn't :) 1* For the response time : It's Wednesday night and I browsing on my phone, in my bed, for a spa close from where I live and with treatment at a reasonable price. That's when I remember a poster I saw along the Luas line advertising a new Spa in Smithfield. I check on facebook, here they are ! 10.15pm : I decide to enquire about body wraps 10.30pm : I get a response that they do provide this treatment 10.45pm : I have an appointment for Thursday evening at 6pm 11pm : I fall asleep, content 1* For the reception area : As soon as I entered the Spa I felt overwhelmed by peace. The place is quiet and warm. Perfect combination. The beauty therapist is waiting for me to fill in some health related details - compulsory before starting any treatment. They even offer me some water without me asking. 1* For the changing room : The therapist shows me the locker I am going to use and explains what I need to do. The room is not very big but it has a locker with 8 section, for 8 clients at the same time. Each locker has a cosy bathrobe, some biodegradable underwear and slippers. There is also a chair in the room. 1* For the beauty room : When I am ready changing, the therapist shows me the way to the beauty room. The place is new and clear and well presented. The therapist explains the procedure for the treatment and then leaves the room while I slip under the towel on the beauty bed. There are plenty of little lights on the ceiling. I prefer to think of them as stars, that's the romantic me talking. 1* For the treatment : The first part is scrubing. I am on my back. Every limb is scrubbed thoroughly. I really appreciated that the therapist took the time to uncover every part one at a time. She even took special care to hide my chest with a smaller towel so that we could scrub my stomach without reveiling anything else. Then I turned over and again she scrubbed. Once this was done, I was invited to go in the shower area (in the room of course) and rince off all the product. There was a hand towel to help me, a bath towel waiting for me after the shower and an extra pair of underwear. She paid special attention to clean my feet before anything so I would slide on the floor. The rest of the treatment was smooth. I was covered in a very moisturising cream/mask which was applying with a relaxing massage. I was finally wrapped in a warm blanket over the towel. While I was 'cooking' the therapist gave me a scalp massage, which she had asked me permission for earlier in the procedure. Simply amazing. 1* For the timing : 75 minutes of pure heaven. 1* For the overall experience : I am so happy of how it all went. I left definitely relaxed and happy. Kate was very quick to respond when I texted her and I set up an appointment. Kate is a lovely Hungarian woman who has lived in Ireland for 13 years. She runs a little beauty salon out of her home and provides professional, inexpensive, clean and excellent service for both men and women. After getting to know Kate for a while now, I decided to take her up on a facial skin cleaning (€44). For over an hour she removed all the pores and blackheads, moisturised and massaged my face and decolletage with Gigi products (from the Dead Sea). And also never gave me any papers to sign which is weird as the procedure is serious. I have scars now and have to use a scar cream because of her incompetence. When I booked in for another 2 appointments to see her so she can evaluate the situation after this horrific procedure, she failed to take me on both occasions ,first being when I waited for 30minutes in salon's reception, she had someone else on my time, as it later turned out-it was some sort of emergency because she was squeezing someone's lip filler out because she messed up (her words),.... second time when I booked in she got 'sick or a cold' and couldn't take me on the time I booked and wanted to come. Mind you, she changed the time 11:30PM the night before I was supposed to come, through instagram DM but only when I texted her first - 'see you tomorrow at 10am.' Which makes me think if I didn't text her that night she would have left me waiting again. this is when I went public with my experience, so instead of asking me to see her, she blocked me on instagram and I'm now left with botched eyes. NEVER do this PLASMA PEN thing! By the way, she is super unprofessional, I never experienced this in 10 years of going to beauty salons.... worst thing I experienced.... Update** regarding salon's response, I can tell that this owner is writing a complete bullshit. She never contacted Gardai and she is talking nonsence. She never saw me again after plasma pen procedure as she claims, and she never had a chance to look after at my eyelids to see how the healing is going. EVEN over the text messages she said 'Yeah they look a bit funny' .The day she was suppose to see my eyelids was 2 days after,but she did not see me as she took someone else on my time and was fixing someone's lips that she botched (that's what she said in messages), the second time she did not cancel any appointment. I cancelled because she switched times without asking me, because she got 'sick' at 11PM the night before.Honestly the worst salon I've ever been to, YOU RUINED MY FACE!!!!!! Do you understand that?? I waited for 4 weeks to see if it heals and it hasn't, and your'e telling me that I am not leaving you alone???? I am leaving a feedback of my experience which I can do anywhere I want for as long as I want, so people don't do this procedure and ruin their face. How will you explain these dots and scars? Its not a healing it's an injury on face, look at the photo, it's scars all over my eyes. How you will heal my scars now ?
