Given the current unfortunate climate of Lyft/Uber, my friend and I were looking for alternate…read moretransportation to Deer Creek for a Sunday eve. concert. We both had to work the next day, and after 20 years of concerts there we were not looking forward to an hour-plus "after party" waiting in traffic to get out of the parking area. We found TST totally by accident with a Google search for "shuttle to Ruoff". Essentially they run a fleet of very nice shuttle buses which offer multiple pick-up locations throughout the city. You pay online, then meet the shuttle at the pre-determined spot a few hours prior to the concert's start. We met our driver, Trey at the Broad Ripple Sun King parking lot. He was super friendly and had some tunes playing (radio was also Bluetooth-equipped if we wanted to run out own soundtrack). A cooler of cold bottled water was provided. We waited just a few mins and then were off to the next (last stop) to pick up a few more folks at Blind Owl Brewery. Total on bus was a comfortable 11 people. The ride was quick, we got there with plenty of time to spare (at least an hour), and the best part: the bus parked right near the entrance! Trey had some folding chairs and even games for us to play while some of us waited to go into the venue. Most on the bus chose to sit and chat with each other for a bit. We found out that TST's offers many different shuttle services, from sweet 16 parties to bachelorette events and winery/brewery tours. Trey waited with the bus and after the concert we were whisked right out, past all the sitting cars and back onto I-69. Don't forget to tip your driver before you leave. We were home safely in record time! As far as I'm concerned now, this is the ONLY way to go to a concert at Deer Creek (or anywhere else that requires a decent drive)!

We got picked up downtown at Sunking which means after your beers. I did think we'd get a tour of a brewery but day drinking on a Saturday was great. Ash & Elm has great food options. It was our first time there and we loved it. Who knew cider was so flavorful. The seasonal ciders are a must! Garfield brewery was once an old gas station so the outdoor patio area is pretty neat. They have flights available as well. And kismetic, our last stop was also delicious. They don't offer food but have menus from cluster truck. The coffee beer was my favorite! All places to check out if you haven't been. I will definitely be back to each!

If you are going to either Walmart or Meijer's on East Washington Street the trip becomes at least anywhere from 45 minutes to 60 minutes so if you buy a 2 hour transfer due to you cash flow and can't afford an all day pass you are waisting you money. I'm 67 years old and I have a half fare card, but going from the transit center to Walmart and buying a 2 hour transfer then trying to shop by the time I get back to the bus stop my 2 hour transfer has expired. I live on Disability SSI, so I can't always afford a all day pass. So my advice to the Indygo Representatives update your 2 hour transfer pass to a 3 hour transfer pass. Enclosed is something I Googled about the time it takes from the Indygo Julia Carson terminal to meijer's on East Washington Street. ( See attached document) Please consider my proposal.

Founded as a Purdue University graduate student project, Reindeer Shuttle has grown into a…read morefantastic and convenient service run by great people. On a recent trip to visit a friend, Reindeer was recommended to me while trying to organize transportation between Chicago and Lafayette. My original plan was to rent a car, but the shuttle ended up being more economical in terms of price and accessibility. I took the morning shuttle from O'Hare to Lafayette on a Friday morning. Getting to the shuttle area at O'Hare is a bit of a hike from the main airport areas, but plenty of signs make it easy to find. Upon arrival at the shuttle area, I was warmly greeted by our driver, April, who graciously took and stowed my luggage. Once the remaining passengers were accounted for, we set off for Lafayette ahead of schedule. The shuttle itself was comfortable with a decent amount of legroom (a necessity for me, being 6-feet tall) and a smooth ride. Another passenger quickly fell asleep. There is WiFi provided on board, which is easy to access, steady, and pretty speedy. April was a sweetheart to talk with through the duration of the trip. Before I knew it, we were arriving at Purdue just in time for lunch. On the return trip from Lafayette to Chicago the following Sunday afternoon, pickup from Purdue was very easy and we left promptly on time. I had the pleasure of riding with Nathan at the wheel. Just like April, Nathan stowed my baggage with a smile and was great to talk with. It was this leg of the trip that I noticed Reindeer names its shuttle vans after Santa Claus' reindeer. You can find each shuttle's respective name on the passenger and driver doors. For transportation between Chicago/O'Hare and Lafayette/Purdue, look no further than Reindeer Shuttle. With a friendly staff, a great backstory, reliable and comfortable rides, you will not be disappointed. I look forward to doing business with Reindeer again in the future!

I was also dreading dealing with the 3 hour drive to Chicago along with the headache of navigating the city along with finding parking near the hotel. So we took a chance and booked the mega bus the night before our trip. I couldn't be more happy. The drive up was on a newer coach bus. We were in the heart of downtown in just about 3 hours. The next day we returned on a double decker which was a bit bumpier than the non double decker, but still a great ride. The best part? Round trip for my wife and me was $100 bucks total. I feel like we saved money by doing the bus. If we would have driving it would have cost us gas ($40), parking (at hotel was $75 per night). I am so excited about the Mega Bus I have already started looking into trips to Nashville and Louisville.

We had a wonderful bus ride with assigned seats. The bus was on time, clean, driver very nice. We walked along unfamiliar streets but never had any problems. We found lots to do and had a full day in Chicago. When we boarded the Megabus to return to Indianapolis, it was lights out on a beautiful experience with my 2 sons and a perfect ending to our shared memories of June 16, 2019.

"I just got off the Greyhound; it's cold out; I'm dog tired, and I sure don't feel like finding a fire hydrant to do what dogs need to do after sitting on the bus for two hours. Not only that, but this place has working outlets to charge my phone--something the bus company promised to have at each seat, but for which they didn't deliver." "Is that all?" they'd ask. "No! Listen here, Me and Myself," I'd say. "They have a flyer for each Lafayette city bus here too, and a display to show when each bus is going to come. YOU try to find that back home in Chicago." "You mean we're going to take the city bus too, after hoofing on the 'hound all the way here?" Me, Myself and I were lucky that day. I had arranged a ride that arrived shortly thereafter. But having Citybus Center was a breath of warm air as we waited, and on a weekend--a Saturday--no less.

During peak rush hour times and if there is construction, they are sometimes late/early to the point it seems like they just aren't coming (I've had to wait over 20 minutes a few times), but the City Bus app has real time maps that allow you to look where the bus is at before you leave. The buses are clean and safe- out of town visitors should definitely consider these as a mode of transportation. I come from a place where riding the city bus is dangerous, so this is a welcome difference. The city bus center is a nice building, and a good place to wait to be out of the cold.
