When they did get it done I felt it was the B team that was sent to do the job...on one weekend day there was only one worker on the job...working alone from heights. Once the work was complete the gutter was dripping from 3 locations. They had to come back but even after that it still leaked onto the concrete at my front door. My neighbour had this exact situation and slipped on the patch of water that accumulated and froze and broke a bone. I do not want this to happen to my wife. My take...poor management, pushing workers too hard, too much business so they treat small Customers like myself like second rate Customers. It seems I am not important enough to respond to. Now with winter here the last gutter leak will not be resolved until spring, if at all. With the benefit of hindsight I should have chosen another company that offers 100% Satisfaction Guarantee and is a Certified IKO ShieldPRO plus+ Professional Roofing Contractor. The company I am referring to phoned 2 or 3 times to follow up the quote they provided, but I told them I chose a local company...my mistake. The service after the sale was poor, they were not cheap, the communications was subpar (I have the text messages on my phone), and the initial quality, mainly the gutters, when not good. A deal was made for a total price of $5300, which included all cleanup, removing all nails and debris, plus clean the gutters. About 1/2 way through the job, I picked up a shingle that was being installed and it was LIGHTER in WEIGHT, than the sample we were shown. Mike and I had words and he told his workers to shut it down, pack things up and we are out of here. I told him there's no F'n way your leaving my roof unprotected and I walked in my house. They continued on with the job and on the final day, I asked a worker for a couple of shingles. There was no one around, as everyone left at about 12:30pm. I walked outside and there was debris and nails all over my sidewalk. my gutters were not cleaned and the 2 trailers they moved were not put back were they were. Mike and I exchanged text messages and the work was not finished. Mike came to collect his $5300 cask payment, which I had and I told him that I would pay him when he puts the shingles that were similar to the sample he showed us and he said they were on the house. I told him that when the job is done he'll get paid and I started walking away. He told me he was going to put a lien on my house and that I would have a copy of it within an hour and I told him "Go ahead and I'll see you in court and you know, as well as me that I'll win". We said this to each other a couple of times and I finally walked away and went into my house. About 20 minutes later I get a text from Mike Comeau, when he arrived for his CASH payment "Do you want me to deliver you a copy of the lien or just mail it to you." After I texted him back telling him what I thought about his dirty business practices of trying to pull the old bait and switch, you'll get your money. He talked about putting a lien on and I told him I'd see him court. Shortly after I got a text from Mike again, which stated "I'll come back give me4300 and melmark (spell check error I believe) everything paid in full other than that I'm going to the registry right now." I told him I wanted to see all the warranties in writing and he said he would be back in 5 minutes. He came back and I walked outside, looked at the warranties and he changed the $5300 original receipt to show $4300 paid in full and I told him what I thought of his dirty business practice of trying to pull a bait and switch on me. He denied, but myself and my witness know, he did. I paid him his $4300 cash he signed the receipt for $4300 and 10 days later I got a text from the dirty crooked businessman himself which states, "The contract was $5300 you paid $43 balance owing $1,000 no warranty. "I told him that you gave me a receipt for $4300 signed by you paid in full. I got a reply from this scumbag "All warrantied go directly through me good luck." Buyer BEWARE of this guy, Mike Comeau, owner of Newlook Exteriors Medicine Hat Alberta!!!! I'd give him a minus 1,000,000, if I could!!!!!!!

Two of his workers were also overheard saying "This is the wrong way to do this." - Towards the end of the job, a worker said, "We might be short on shingles." Another worker's response was "I have lots of pieces here we can use". (Pieces aren't meant to be used). - Drip edge installed too short exposing house to rain and places where no drip edge was installed at all. - Joints of shingle overlap 2 1/2 inches apart, many other joints at 4 inches. (Minimum 6 inch overlap per IKO specs and they actually recommended 10 inch for our style of shingle). - Some shingles were reused after being torn up and now have nail holes that aren't filled. - There are nails not sunk properly to the point they are already starting to push shingles up as shingles settle down flat. There are places where there is 2 nails/shingle and IKO specs require at least 4 (6 depending on where the shingle is located). - They didn't clean my property and left a mess on neighbors property, which we cleaned up. - They damaged 2 week old siding, eavestroughs and a deck that is 1 week old. - When asked mulitple times if they were going to fix the issues, the owner walked away while saying we didn't know anything. - Workers were caught multiple times not wearing harnesses and they smoked pot at lunch on our property.

This has been so stressful I have had 4 seizures due to the stress. Workers would also go in back of my garage in alley and smoke drugs (caught on video) , then proceed to work on my roof. They also would drive their vehicles after smoking drugs. Work was done completely wrong as confirmed by IKO( shingle manufacturer we used), city inspectors, 3 fellow journeyman carpenters, shingle suppliers, and the alberta roofing contractor association. Two of his workers were also overheard saying this is the wrong way to do this. Towards the end of the job while sitting on my deck I heard we might be short on shingles. One workers response was "I have lots of pieces here we can use" He is now refusing to repair or fix the problems. They didn't clean my property, left a mess on neighbors property( me and wife had to pick it up), Damaged siding( siding is 2 weeks old), damaged eavestrough and damaged deck that is 1 week old. I asked atleast 12 times if he was going to repair or fix issues and he kept walking away. Conversation was video taped. Work was done that bad that IKO Canada is sending an inspector to go over it with a fine tooth comb.
