When this place first opened I swear the breakfast menu was much better value compared to what I have had recently, it may have been a newly opened promotion scenario but I'm not quite sure...Don't get me wrong what they offer is great and I will most likely be coming back, but I can no longer call it the best value breakfast in the city as the prices are verging on the edge of expensive. Alimentari is also Deli which offers a great selection of cheese, cold meats and an array of other delicacies you expect from a gourmet shop like this one. The service for the past 5 or 6 times I have been here (all during peak periods) has been seamless, and although there isn't table service and you must order at the counter, soon after you sit down you will have your beverage and not too long after that your meal. The 'Alimentari' breakfast seems a popular choice but for almost $20 I would appreciate more than just excess servings of bacon, I think I would prefer to see another egg added to the mix or some more vegetables. The coffee is great and the service is fast, give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

It boasted lots of great Italian cheeses, cured meats, pastas, olives, sauces and oils. It's a place I would happily trade as my pantry! I tucked into my coffee which was great. I sensed a hint of hazlenut, but I hadn't ordered any syrups in my coffee. Perhaps they'd mixed my order up with someone else's but I wasn't too upset about it- the coffee was still rich and frothy. My ham and cheese croissant was also fantastic. They pastry was beautiful and flaky, clearly fresh out of the oven that morning. When I'm in the city next and in need of some breakfast, I'll definitely give the Alimentari menu and more extensive browse. It's a fantastic little spot and the service was good. The only thing I would change is that if they had one extra staff member in the mornings, they could easily make it table service which I think would add a touch more class to the place. Overall though I thought it was lovely and a nice change to the quick stop coffee and muffin places strewn throughout the city.

Now that they have Contessa near Roma Station in the City, their coffee is even more accessible to those who work in the area! They've newly installed some seating out back for those who aren't obligated to return to their offices. The service here is friendly and quick, and most importantly, the coffees are consistently good. While pricier than neighboring coffee hubs, their aromatic coffee is definitely worth a go. Though they change their blends, and some are distinctly better than others, this place's coffee beats out most coffee brewers in Brisbane.
