BUT these folks simply can't be depended on. Promises made for pickups are often late... or WAY late or simply AWOL. Getting left high and dry on a hot day for well over an hour is NOT a good time... and the 'attitude' you get from the dispatcher when you dare suggest that they keep their word is a clear buzz-kill. I have visiting staff and consultants in the area constantly and a dependable taxi service would be a blessing -- and could have given a fair amount of business to the right operator... When leaving Jacksonville, the driver showed up 10 minutes early in a Chevy Suburban and secured my son's car seat while we were gathering our bags. Our trip to the airport was very smooth, and of course, we were dropped off right at the gate, which is very important when you have two large bags, two backpacks, a car seat, a stroller, and a cat carrier. For our trip home from the airport, our driver was early and waiting for us by the time we arrived for our luggage. Even better, there were two cold bottles of water waiting for us in the Suburban, which was wonderful on a 90+ degree day. She drove us home without incident.
