Now this was a nice mile with well trimmed trees all around. The wind blew softly over the just mowed grass. The faint hint of cow dung was in the air. There is also a nice little tuck in the tree so I could do business. So in I strolled on in with Mr. Squirrel and Ms. Butterfly. I looked around and dropped trowel right there. Such a nice peaceful spot that I have chosen. To finish up I went with a long n broad leaf for I have heard that the pointy wide one's will leave you itching all the way home. Plenty of parking, a Blue Star Memorial, wide and spacious interior, TONS of brochures/ info well organized into several sections, lots of photo ops, clean bathrooms, hotel info..... The best part of this stop, however, were the two wonderfully friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and humorous ladies who were working. We found the local area full of charm and enjoyed a kayak down the Withlacoochee River to Madison Blue Spring State Park and beyond to the next boat ramp. (The river was an interesting mix limestone formations and sandy landing spots. We got some of the best sleep of our lives and work up to a yummy full homemade breakfast before our check out. Thanks to Linda our brief stay was a wonderful restful experience. Feels like being a guest in a friends home - like a warm hug. So the Cottage Bed & Breakfast is a very cute place, it is owned by a very nice couple and they have redecorated this house themselves. I really enjoyed my stay here, I know a lot of people don't like bed and breakfasts, but the owners truly made my stay fun and relaxing. The room also included breakfast, which they will have ready for you if you tell them what time you need to leave. And they will also prepare lunch or dinner for you at an extra charge (and they don't make just anything, they really make a gourmet MEAL!!)

Kampgrounds of America (KOA) is rarely or ever our destination but we do use them for overnight…read morestays while traveling in our RV when the distance is a bit more than we care to drive without an extended break. We've stayed at a number of KOA locations over the years and although most have great amenities we rarely use them since we are basically looking for a safe location close to the highway with full hookups and a level site for the night. I book all the sites using the KOA app so I can pick the type of the site I want and get the pricing upfront with photos showing the accommodations, this has worked out great especially since I am a rewards member and get points I can use on future stays. The Jennings, Florida location is classified as a "Holiday" which provides more ammenties for longer visits and vacations but all types accommodations overnighters. This location is like so many KOA campgrounds it's a little worn, the roads are narrow and the sites are close together but the utilities worked fine and most of the sites are pull-through making for an easy exit in the morning. It's August in Florida and the lack trees makes this location very hot and you better hope your A/C units are in good working order, I have (3) air conditioners on my bus and they ran almost continuously to fight off the sun and humidity but the location made for a good overnight stay. I want to recognize the wonder staff here, the front office made sure everything was taken care of before escorting us to our site. We stayed in site 20 and it was tight for our 41foot coach and our toad but it worked out. The office parking lot is very big so we stopped there to reconnect our tow vehicle before getting back on I75 north bound looking for cooler weather...
