They suggested I have it assessed with their goldsmith and I agreed. When the assessment came back, the goldsmith said the entire head had to be replaced. The price: $600. I took my ring to a private jeweler/gemologist for another assessment. He looked at my ring and said the damaged prong could be repaired and the others were in good condition. The price for the repaired prong; $45. Fast forward 2024. I notice a different prong tip missing, take the same ring in for assessment & am told the tip was missing & another looked "weak". It is sent to the goldsmith and am told the entire head had to be replaced - again. Price: $600. I take the ring to Ambassador and am told repair of the damaged prong & the weak prong would be $60. Total replacement of entire head $140. Work complete in 7 days. I'm not certain as to why the vast difference in cost. Ambassador has a 5 star review and friendly service. I try to bring business to family owned establishments, but I'm not returning to this one. Perhaps Thigpen should consider using a repair service with more reasonable prices. A Google search will reveal the average cost of repair of a prong is $45-$75.

We're absolutely in love with…read morethe intricate pattern of the Mokume-Gane ("wood grain metal" in Japanese), made with a labor intensive technique of forging and folding layers of precious metals. Krikawa designs the majority of their custom rings remotely, so we communicated exclusively over text and email. They were highly responsive, often replying within an hour during normal business hours. They made us feel completely confident in their process, going as far as mailing us a fool-proof ring sizing kit with handmade metal rings we could wear over several days to account for shifting ring sizes. They also shipped us samples of their different Mokume metal styles/colors so we could see the stunning patterns in-person. My personal design consultant at Krikawa (Sandrine) was wonderful to work with every step of the way, and offered helpful suggestions that enhanced the final design. For example, I originally wanted to go with yellow gold for my ring, but Sandrine recommended white gold instead to pair better with my ice blue sapphire. She also answered all my questions with clarity and professionalism and nudged me in the direction of a gorgeous final product. Production time was speedy once we approved the final sketch; the 3D CAD Model took ~2 weeks, and the rings were completed ~6 weeks after CAD approval. You will pay a premium for expertise and quality, but the phenomenal results are well worth it. Our rings arrived carefully packaged in separate wooden boxes and fit our fingers perfectly, built to exacting standards. We marveled at the beauty and craftsmanship of our matching wedding rings for a good while when we first saw them! I highly recommend Krikawa for all your custom wedding ring needs, especially if you're attracted to Mokume-Gane since it's one of their specialties. On that birthday, for my graduation, and the final time for a friends birthday. Only ever special occasions because I know multiple people who complain that earring clasps from Jared are weak. Of course, on the third wear, one of them falls off and goes missing. The other one has a weak clasp as well. Poor quality for the price. Although I have a warranty, it does not cover the lack of quality clasps and lost items which has happened to many people I know, and now myself. I dropped off my ring to be sized. It was done quickly. When I came to pick it up, I was handed my…read morering with a smile. However I looked down, and saw that my ring was shockingly missing a diamond. I informed the associate who looked around in the tissue paper and then said that they would get a stone put back in there. I was devastated as those are the diamonds my husband proposed to me with and it was sad to see my ring looking like a piece of junk, but I put my faith in Goldline to make it right. When I picked it up, the jeweler said he found a diamond in the ring cleaner that was probably mine, and they put it back in. No reassurance that the settings were tightened back up, just brushed off and told this happens all the time. By the time I got home, on the same day, I saw the diamond was missing again. I also got my ring dipped one year ago and when I picked it up, noticed a bunch of new scuffs. So I brought in a whole shiny ring to be sized and picked up a piece of junk: I am now down a diamond and need to get the white gold redone, all out of my own pocket. I never leave reviews but this was such a disappointing experience with people who haphazardly handled my most sentimental piece of jewelry. They did not care that they handed me a ring that was missing a diamond, so they certainly won't care that it happened again. I will never be back and urge all to beware.
