Ok here's the deal. I've bought several guns at this shop over the years. But, the last year or two these guy's don't seem to wanna help you look at anything. I called one day and ask if they had a gun I was looking for, they said yes. I drove down there to buy it and 3 guy's standing around talking would not even help me. I look at one of them and said I needed help. I thought he was coming to help and he walked right by me. I waited a few minutes later and he walked back up to the front desk and started talking with the other workers. So i left and went to Rural King and bout the gun I wanted. Oh and it was cheaper. The owner sits behind the register and never even moves. They just don't care if they sell you anything or not. But, man they sure price thier stuff hi. I ask for some 22 ammo one time the guy handed me a box of 22's same brand Wal Mart carry's. He wanted $38.00 for the box. I told Him Wal Mart sells the same box for $19.95. He said I guess you need to go to Wal Mart. I walked out! read more

So not waste your time calling and asking any questions. They are rude and will not help. Have purchased several guns there. No issues there. Called to ask if they had any traditional bows and they said yes. Asked if they had a certain brand. They said drove here. I explained why i couldn't but they refused to help. They do not want or need business apparently. read more

Not even worth your time to stop here, I tried 2 times thought maybe they were just under staffed the first time we stopped on and waited 30 minutes without being helped. Went back and same thing, we waited patiently listening to the the person that was trying to help. His knowledge of firearms was surprisingly inadequate to be working in a gun store. We went up the road and made our purchases without any problems, I want bother stopping back in there. read more

I went to Top Dollar Pawn prepared to make a specific firearm purchase. From the moment I walked through the door, completely unacknowledged by the three employees just standing around, I felt my presence was not only unappreciated but loathed. Without hesitation I left and took my money to Academy Sports in Huntsville and I'm sooo happy I did! Not only was the firearm I wanted $75 dollars cheaper than Top Dollar but I was immediately and warmly greeted as I walked through the door! I was treated with dignity and respect. Ammunition was considerably cheaper as well. I guess it's called "Top Dollar" for a reason, they charge top dollar for their merchandise!! read more

I've bought my second pistol here.. the last one just before Christmas. They have a great selection of new and used guns, and all kinds of ammo. The thing I like best is they let you look around without any pressure, and occasionally check to see if you have questions or want to see anything. They're really a comfortable place to do business with. read more

Like the other reviewers, I have had nothing but bad service in this store. The first time I was there, I went in and asked for some 44 magnum ammunition. When I asked for it I got nothing but a blank stare. I tried again "do you have any 44 Magnum ammunition?". The clerk then asks me "you gotta 44? Is it shiny or blued?". I told him it was a Ruger Super RedHawk. He then went and got a box of Winchester white box 44's and told me that they were $68! ( They cost $39 at Academy Sports ). I told him no thanks and left. The second and last time I will ever be there was Friday. I was looking for a carry gun and asked the two employees behind the counter the price of a Ruger .380 that was in the case. One of them said that he wasn't sure and the other just shrugged their shoulders. They both then went back to their conversation. No attempt to find the price, or to even walk over to the case where the gun was. From now on, I will drive 45 minutes Huntsville to get what I need instead of 10 minutes to deal with these clowns. read more

This is absolutely the most organized and most professional pawn shop I've ever been to. I travel all over the southeast buying and selling items for my eBay business, so I've seen it all. They have the largest selection of guns with the most reasonable prices around their area. They were prompt to wait on me and my husband and were very knowledgeable about the guns and ammunition. Their prices on ammo was so good my father drove a long distance just to purchase some. I can't imagine any of the employees being rude to anyone under any circumstances. I never post reviews but when I seen the awful post someone shared, I felt compelled to give my experience. I feel the person who post the unflattering things about Top Dollar was another competitor and not a actual customer. read more
