I cannot say enough good things about the care this practice has given my dog. He is an extremely…read morefearful and reactive deaf/partially blind dog who simply cannot be handled like a typical veterinary patient. Rather than treating him as a problem or expecting him to somehow behave like a different dog, this team has taken the time to learn him and develop a plan that allows him to receive the veterinary care he needs safely and with as little stress as possible. They understand what he can tolerate, what he can't, when he needs me with him, and how to adjust their approach accordingly. His visits require extra planning, patience, flexibility, and coordination, and I have never felt that they resent him for needing any of it. They just work out how to take care of the dog in front of them. Having a dog with significant behavioral challenges can make something as ordinary as an annual veterinary visit incredibly difficult. Knowing that he has an entire team of people who understand him, take his needs seriously, and genuinely want him to get good medical care means more to me than I can say. If you have a fearful or reactive dog and worry about how they'll be treated at the vet, that kind of compassion and willingness to individualize care is invaluable. I am incredibly grateful that my little guy has East Maiden.

I was really nervous about coming here because I read some of the negative reviews. My cat…read morepresented with FIP and landed himself in blue pearl North ER for three days! My normal vet was Affordable Vet in Finleyville. After my cat got out of the ER they told me to do follow up labs with my vet. I took my cat to our vet, Affordable Vet, paid for a check up and asked for management of his ongoing care. The vet refused and told me I had to get ongoing care with the ER... Are you kidding me? Do you know how insanely expensive the ER is?! the other big kicker? I had asked her for a prescription for probiotic food that I could order on chewy with a prescription. She had agreed to it, but forgot to give me the prescription when I left. I drove 30 minutes home and realized that I did not have the prescription so I called in and explained I forgot to pick it up , asking if they would simply approve it on the chewy app for me, or email me the prescription. THEY REFUSED and said I had to physically pick it up and drive the 30 minutes to do so. I was pissed! At the suggestion of a neighbor, I called East maiden animal clinic. They got me in within days. The staff was absolutely amazing. Very personable and friendly. The vet was amazing and said she handles many cats with this FIP and it's no problem for follow up. The price was cheaper than my other Vet Finleville. There was no wait. The office is small and personable. The vet offered for me to bring my cat in for weight check ups at no fee to me as we treated him. She gave a reasonable plan for management, which was nice for my pocketbook but safe for my cat. Lastly I asked about ordering probiotic cat food on chewy which needs a prescription. She said absolutely just let me know and we will call in the prescription or approve it online. I'm telling you what-this place is really good. I'm so glad I found them!!!!

In addition best transport experience I've had, Amanda arranged with a flight nanny to have our new puppy Teddy flown to Boston & delivered directly to my home. Teddy arrived in excellent condition, it couldn't have gone smoother. As for the puppy we received, Teddy a long haired male, I can say from experience this is the healthiest most well adjusted chi puppy I've ever received. I've had Teddy for a week now. He is very beautiful & his personality is wonderful, smart, brave & clearly well socialized. He eats well, is growing as expected & is getting along so well w my other 3 chihuahuas of varying age.
