I did a walk in and unfortunately Kenny and other staff was so busy (nice about it) and noted they were only staff there and could not accommodate which is understandable. I just moved from NY and wasn't used to everything being an appointment. He said place wasn't an expert in scissor cut and so declined my son's cut request because he didn't want to mess his hair up and it wasn't his thing. My son likes it on the longer, trendy side. He recommended me to FNX studio in Lodi but unfortunately they were busy too but that's ok guess everything in NJ has to be an appointment. I'll keep my cuts in NY. Ugh that's too bad wanted to have a local common spot for a cut. Wish they knew all sorts of haircuts expertise, I'd come back. But he was nice about it.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is nice mellow music such as Sinatra is usually playing at a low decibel level. The second thing you notice is the beautiful map of Sicily prominently displayed on the wall. In addition to the great surroundings, Vito always comes through and gives a quality haircut. He always cuts it to my instructions and I always leave looking good. In addition, Vito is smart enough to realize that I am a hairy Italian and takes painstaking measures to shave all that nasty hair growing on the back of my neck. He doesn't just buzz it with the clippers as most barbers do, but he tenaciously attacks it with hot shaving cream and a straight edge razor. That is the only way all that nasty hair is ever going to get off my neck! I don't know why most other barbers cannot do this right. If I really want to splurge on myself, I will also get one of Vito's famous shaves. Every step of the shave process is a real treat. The hot towel followed by moisturizers and hot shaving cream is a luxury every man should experience at least once in their life.. The shave is a total relaxing experience. As I am a hairy Italian, it is virtually impossible for me to shave without feeling stubble afterwards no matter how many times I hit the same spot with the blade. On the other hand, I always leave with a baby smooth face after one of Vito's shaves. I don't know how he does it as I have an extremely difficult beard to shave, but Vito gets the job done right.
