I'm not sure if their quote would have been a lot higher or lower than others as I didn't try to coordinate so many quotes for such a small issue but if one were to consider hourly rate it was a bit steep. I would probably do some more shopping around next time but overall they did fix the issue in a timely and efficient manner.

Amir came exactly when he said and was incredibly quick diagnosing the issue without even touching his tools. My Sub-Zero had a frost issue in the freezer. Mark had the unit backup and running smoothly within the hour. I really appreciated him walking me through the cause of the issue rather than just handing me a bill. He was very knowledgeable and explained the "why" behind the problem. Initial service charge was only $95 to assess and was deducted from the cost of the repair. My previous appliance repair company wanted to charge 3 times that amount and wasn't going to deduct the price if servicing was needed. Excellent service all around! Highly recommend

I needed a diagnostic on both my fridge and stove. Alex was able to fix my stove right on the spot, and explained that it wasn't worth me spending money to fix a part of my fridge because it's toward the end of it's shelf life. He also gave me a ton of incredibly useful information on the most reliable brands and even the best places to purchase a new fridge for install and hauling. There's a reason this company has 5 stars with hundreds of reviews. I would be happy to use them again and highly recommend.

I chose all state because they were able to see my next day, whereas other shops could only do within 3 days. We needed a part replaced on our Thor range. After filtering for repair services in the area that…read morework on this brand, the list was very small. Several never responded at all. Thor's own certified service providers were no better (one declined the brand, the other ghosted). Gold Standard had 259 five-star reviews, so my wife reached out through Yelp on November 20. It took two weeks and a follow-up message (plus a voicemail) before Cristhian responded. He came out on December 8, diagnosed the issue, and quoted us $272.30 + tax for the part and $310 for labor. We paid $85 for the diagnosis and told him to go ahead and order the part. Then, silence. My wife followed up on December 16. No response. Again on December 18, this time saying we'd find someone else if he couldn't commit to a date. He finally replied, saying the part was backordered and wouldn't arrive until mid-to-late January. We said we'd wait. Late January came. My wife followed up again. Cristhian said he'd call the supplier "real quick." A few days later he reported the supplier wasn't answering his calls or emails. He said he'd look into alternatives. My wife followed up again on February 10, offering to source the part herself if he'd just tell her the part number. No response. On February 28, after three months of this, we sent a final message letting him know we were moving on. Cristhian never replied. Summary: we paid $85 for a diagnosis, got a quote that was never acted on, sent roughly ten messages over three months, and received maybe four replies. The part was apparently never procured. His phone always went to voicemail. I'm writing this because the 5-star rating doesn't reflect our experience. Hopefully Cristhian will respond and resolve the issue quickly, and/or refund the $85 diagnosis fee.

My heroes. Our…read moreclothes washer door wouldn't open after an overloaded spin cycle caused the clothes washer to stop and emergency locked the door. It wasn't an easy job. The emergency door latch for a Samsung front load washer is not located in front but below the top lid. And the dryer was stacked on top of the washer. And the stacked machines were in a tiny storage closet in a tiny powder room. I called them and they arranged for two people to come. They showed up, said they would do their best, and the best they did. They tried a couple of things, then just decided to brute force moving the dryer out, placed it gently on a blanket in the hallway, popped open the top of the washer, unjammed the latch, and then put everything back. I didn't even see them move the dryer! They didn't ding the doorway or walls. To emphasize, this kind of maneuvering in a tight space is something most contractors and movers wouldn't even attempt. I thought I needed to get someone to remove the powder room sink completely so we could take the washer out for repair. At the end of it, they charged me a fair price for the back-breaking work they did. They kindly advised me to not overload my washer again. They are my heroes.

I declined the refund because I appreciate the time they spent diagnosing the problem. Before I even pay a single dollar, they called me via phone to explain my broken dryer situation is somehow rare that it could be the control board or circuit inside that they are not confident it will work completely fine after the fix, which will cost me at least $600. After some conversation to check my current dryer, vent, and usage situation via phone about 10 minutes, they actually recommended me to find someone who only specializes in LG machines. (FYI, two other contractors before A Plus Appliance already gave up on this opportunity and asked me just to buy a new dryer. I contacted LG customer service three times, and every time the "real-person" chat service was like AI-scripted robot that did not help me diagnose the issues but always routed the conversation to my false on cleaning the lint trap or it is the gas line problem, and the conclusion is always to schedule their technician for a visit, which cost $400+ not including material and labor cost.) A+ Appliance guys are still eager to help me fix the dryer but they want me to understand the actual situation and the potential issues so that they are not charging me money and not able to deliver good services to their standard. It is really difficult to find this kind of honesty and service anymore. Although we did not have a business happening this time, I will always call and recommend this company to my friends for fixing broken appliances 100%. Five star no doubt.
