There is an average restaurant onsite. The park is split by a road but there is a pedestrian bridge that connects both sides. The only negatives are getting there. If you drive, prepare to pay 10chf to park. If you take the train prepare to walk quite a ways before seeing any animals. If you take the S4 it is an additional 25 min walk from the stop to the park.

A nice little children's zoo…read more The elephant ride is definitely the highlight. Children cannot go on the ride without adults. The ride is 2Fr per person regardless of age. I don't recommend children under 2 for his ride. The adult elephants are very high, could get a little scary for the smaller kids. The camel rides have a age limit of 3. The elephant feeding is fun too. The zoo provides chopped apples that you can hand to the elephant. They take them out of your hand with their trunk and eat it...so cool! The nicest part of the zoo is the giraffe stand. Where you can walk to the top and be face to face with the giraffes inches away and watch them feed out of a box. They are docile and friendly animals, real gentle giants. The zoo not big so walkable without a stroller. Kids under 4 are free.

Also a large restaurant and ample sitting area for picnic. The Vivarium was really nice, where they have the penguins and lots of tanks with different fishes and sea creatures. My 3 and 8 yrs old loved the experience.

The place can be walked through in just a few hours. The restaurant is pricey but really nice with a cafeteria and a more intimate dining room.
