The barber named "Mo" was either high or fuxking with me. First during the cut he started the conversation with "are you getting your dixk wet this weekend?".. like WTF Next, I explicitly said I wanted to do an undercut - clean up the sides and back but don't touch the top, I'm growing it out. For the sideburns and back I want them tapered. Even showed him a sample picture. He sat me facing away from the mirror the entire time until it's done. Cut my whole hair short and gave me squared sideburns. Just like WTF dude. You drunk or high? Either heard nothing I said or he was intentionally fuxking with me. Got two haircuts. Barber for one of us was sick and did a really poor job. Picture was shown before hand and was very disappointed with result. Just not at all what we are used to. I happened to get a flat top. Only one barber was willing to do it, I recommended a #2 height, instead barber did what they wanted. Only reason I knit pic on this is because previous barbers have always rocked on the flat top and always left me feeling sharp. Also on the phone while cutting hair, big no no. I hate to give bad reviews, but I've been getting the same haircut for 17 years and was disappointed. The other haircut was also terrible. I hope that they can figure it out because this would have been fine when haircuts were 20 bucks, but paying close to 30 its not worth it. read more

First time I went there, I always noticed the barbershop, across from 85 degrees bakery, so I thought I would give it a try. My teen age boys were pretty shocked by all the tattoos and earrings. For me it's not of a big deal. I see on a daily basis, patients of every race, creed and color. For me it was just another Saturday. However, I'm not sure if the barbers are familiar with Asian hair or mainly Asian customers. One strange thing I noticed was, there was no prices posted. When the barber was done, he had to actually ask how much to charge me. He didn't know, as a matter of fact, neither did I. Anyways, three hair cuts $25 each x 3 with 15% tip= $85. From the other post, I noted it was $18. I was going to tip $7, but kind of shocked at the $25. Overall the cut was fine, but yes, a bit on the pricey side. read more

I've been coming here for a couple months now and I always get a cut from Ashley. I've been getting cut by Ash for over two years now even before she's been cutting at this barbershop. The shop itself is nice and clean, and the staff are always nice. They do their covid protocol by checking your temperature and checking your shoes for any covid residue. Got a solid haircut here ($18 + tip). It's so crazy to me sometimes how location makes such a difference in the cost of haircut; since I've moved to the Bay, I've gotten used to paying like almost double that for a haircut, but whenever I visit home, it's like, damn, you're just as good as the barbers charging twice your rate. (yes, yes, rent is high, whatever, the point is, this results in me tipping hella heavy back home) Was able to come in at around 10am on a Saturday and get a cut as a walk-in; the shop was pretty busy but not overbooked, they're also really friendly which is a plus because I know that some barber shops in West Covina can be kind of intimidating to some people that haven't really been lolol. Also, I know that a lot of establishments don't actively maintain their Yelp presence, but thankfully, Toni's has accurate hours on Yelp! I usually go to another barbershop on Grand that shall not be named but their hours were wrong (or barber ran into some emergency and had to take the morning off, idk) and I was a bit miffed that I wasted like 30 minutes because of it. Anyway, Toni's is pretty much equidistant from my home, so it'll probably be my new go-to. Definitely check this place out for a solid cut. read more

Try to charge me $35 a regular haircut nothing special to the haircut at all Matter of fact after she was done, I had to have a re-trim it because she left areas longer than others so for almost $40 and a corrected haircut. Called ahead to ask if they were skilled at straight razor shaving for my head. They said yes. I go in and most of my shave is done with a cheap disposable razor which, I should have clarified when I saw her using it but I didn't and that's on me. But the amount of cuts on my head is inexcusable. Won't be coming back here. read more
