Found a new place to get my sons hair cut and stuck with. My son is 11 and he loves this place. He says he does not trust anyone else but Johnny at Luxury Cutz. I am sure everyone else does a great job but my son liked Johnny and stuck with him. Johnny is patient and very good with the clippers. Everyone is nice in this shop and respectful. Highly recommend this place. Not expensive at all either. Cuts down on the financial burden a biweekly hair cut brings. Great vibes with music and all. I was looking for a place to get both of my nephew's (11 & 4) hair cut the same day and decided to try this place because it was close and they gave me a same day appointment. The barber working on my older nephew was very patient with him when trying to decide what kind of cut he wanted, he even brought out his cell phone and pulled up pictures until my nephew found something he liked. The barber working on my younger nephew asked throughout the haircut about certain preferences and made sure he left his hair the way I wanted it. Both of my nephews were VERY happy with their cuts! My older nephew said it was his favorite cut ever and my younger nephew said he felt like a "cool superhero!". Nice customer service, price was great, 90's hip-hop jams were on point while I waited. No one can do a simple clean fade I have my hair slick back and it looks like a flap in the back no skill. You use scissors to fade the flap of hair resting on top of each other. As you comb your hair back you shouldn't run into a barricade of hair in the back of your head. The comb should run smooth all the way down. Nothing "Luxury" about this shop, used an electric razor to give me a fade majority of the time. Not sure how they still allow barbers (Emilio) to work here giving customers cuts like this. Zero stars if I could. Not sure how everyone else gives this place anything above 1 star. read more

Called 30 mins before their closing time on Saturday, to make sure they were open on Sunday. No answer. Based on the raving reviews, I showed up at 10 a.m. Sunday and waited 10 minutes. No one opened shop. Posted hours on their windows is confusing. I recommend the owner be clearer on their hours of operation and customers call ahead of time to confirm it's open. This wasn't based off of the barbers that were working at the time, this was based off of the barbers that were off duty & their friends entering the barbershop drunk. They just walked through the shop and walked towards the back where there was either an office or break room. Nonetheless these guys walked in and out and it was extremely such an uncomfortable experience. I was worried that something was going to happen, an argument, a fight , something bad because these young men are not in the right state of mind. I wanted to get out of there immediately but my son was in the middle of his haircut. At some point these guys left the shop only to come back assisting one of their friends almost carrying him back inside the shop. The guy was shirtless and look like he had either fallen or got into a fight. His back had red markings. I couldn't believe what was happening, it was so unprofessional and quite frankly shocking. I just wanted to leave By the time we were done, not one of the employees that were on the clock apologized for the behaviors of their co-workers or their friends. They acted as if it was a normal occurrence there. I was hoping this would be a barbershop we can continue to support but there's no way I would ever go back after my experience there! Been coming here since it opened. Very professional and nicely kept place. The owner has been cutting my hair and my son's hair for over 4 years. Never had an issue here. In fact all the other barbers are very polite and helpful. I only thing I would say is sometimes the tv is up a little loud but I'm 46 so I'm getting a little old and that's on me. lol.
