This is my third year as a member (both pool and gym membership), and the level of service gets…read moreincreasingly worse each year. Weekend lane swim has decreased from approximately 12 hours to 2.5 hours on Saturdays with no swim on Sundays. Last year the gym was open until 8:30 pm on the weekends, this year till 4:30pm. There was no advance notice of the closure. This Sunday morning, their online schedule showed free swim hours on Sunday. By afternoon, this schedule was removed from their website with not explanation. When pressed, the staff person said the closures were due to other (Paid?) events (day camps, etc.) taking place during these hours during the summer. It appears to me that PEPS is trying to increase its summer revenue to the detriment of its members that prepay their annual fees. Do not let them take advantage of you like this.

I had a very disappointing experience at this gym. They made me sign something digitally just to…read morestart training, but they NEVER showed me any contract. After only one week, they suddenly told me I had to pay 10% (300$) for a contract I never saw or received. No email, no explanation, nothing. When I asked for clarification, the manager Kevin was rude and unprofessional. Instead of helping, he made me feel like I was being tricked into paying for something I never agreed to. This situation clearly goes against the Loi de la protection du consommateur in Québec, and I will be contacting them regarding this issue. I do not recommend this place at all. Be careful before signing anything here, transparency and professionalism are seriously lacking.

I don't speak a lot of French but was able to keep up based on Charles' thorough demonstrations, and for what I needed clarification on, he was happy to translate for me. I had never tried crossfit before and walked away loving it. Sore for 4 days but in the best way! Highly recommend.

I found and tried this gym when I first moved to Quebec about 10 months ago... I signed up for a…read morethree month period before signing a longer contract. I wanted a personal trainer so all in all i paid $700 for 3 months. During those three months I discovered that their trainers are sweet but not effective at all! There are some true gems like Nadia and Caroline but for the most part the trainers are less than motivational and seemed bored. Among other indicators, i know this because I worked with 6 different trainers and during my one-on-ones I often made some intentional errors in my stance/position, things that are obvious "no-nos" and the trainers said nothing at all. In addition trying to get an appointment with one of the good trainers is impossible (and i understand, everyone chooses them!) This gym has a lot of services packed in this small space... They get one of their stars for the options available to their clientele and for the group classes they offer (Tabata class with Nadia was a favourite); the other star goes to some of the wonderful ladies that work there. We all have our own personal fitness goals, but going to the gym takes energy, motivation and self discipline. So when we get there, we deserve knowledgable, experienced and professional help. After 3 months of training i saw no real results. At the end of the day my personal physical results are my responsibility and I can't blame a gym or trainer for that; but if you're going to spend your hard earned dollars somewhere, look for another place.
