Eric Fletcher responded promptly to my call and met me at the property on a Tuesday. We assessed the disposal needs for three floors and the basement in the house, the garage and outside areas littered with pizza boxes, dead grills, high chairs and various over-stuffed trash bags. Eric quoted a fair price, I arranged for the dumpster to be dropped on Thursday. Eric and his crew worked hard (during extreme heat in July btw), thoroughly cleaning out the place, filling the 30-yard dumpster by Friday. After receiving text photos of the dumpster, I met Eric on Saturday to assess the work and could not have been more pleased with their near-heroic efforts to clean out/up the property so it could be listed for sale. The day after I received a quote for the job that was very reasonable and I scheduled an appointment for the clean out. JDog's crew (Bryan, Jesse, Alexis and Michael) arrived a few minutes before the appointed and got right into the job (attic, house, cellar, garage). Took them 8 hours and 4 truckloads, plus much sweeping afterwards. I never would have been able to clear out this estate without them. The only designations for the items were to go to my home or Goodwill. Easy, right? All the furniture basically was designated to go to Goodwill. I was told by Tony Lowe that it wasn't good enough for Goodwill. There were cherry pieces, a hutch, end tables and a nightstand that were original Pennsylvania House furniture purchased in Terryville, Connecticut. This was like insulting my parents themselves. The furniture was nicked up in the previous move as we went with a more discount mover. However, it certainly was good enough for Goodwill or better. This person brought about seven college-aged guys with him which I thought was ludicrous for a small move. So instead of giving my instructions once I had to say the same things repeatedly. The guys were very nice, although their boss was pompous, condescending, insensitive, and was even laughing at me. From the start he was a rude jerk. I never remember a move being this bad. I was in a lot of pain, soon to be followed by much more pain because the movers left a lot of stuff behind that I had to manually move myself. The whole job felt rushed because they told us repeatedly that they were on their way to another job which sounded much more important, a mansion as one of the guys said. My sister who hired this mover must not have read the other negative reviews. I had a simple request for a special litter box to be brought over. I bagged up the clean litter and put it inside the litter box. Things are expensive now, and I don't have money to waste. Tony basically laughed in my face, and they threw away the litter box, I'm sure. My mother's special pink stool that I shouldn't have entrusted to them, never made it to my home. I believe some special Christmas ornaments, as well, never made it to my home. It would have gone much smoother with maybe two or three guys at the most. Too many cooks spoil the soup! Many items were left unlabeled, and my sister had indicated that boxed items would be labeled. I did as much preparation as I could in advance. My sister, being the POA, received and paid the bill. I asked to know the amount, but I never received an answer. It's probably outrageous. Then I needed to tip the guys so they didn't get that much because I had $105 on me which had to be divided 7 ways. This bill and tip were my dad's to cover, unfortunately.

So much so, that my young boys have even befriended their favorite Garbage man (Roy), who never forgets to wave to my sons and make their little hearts day every time he picks up our trash. Not once in my 5 years since moving to the area and receiving trash pick up from Sterling Superior have I ever experiences any rudeness in ANY manner or any miscommunications/ missed trash day pick-ups. This company has always been extremely professional, consistently reliable, and quick-to-service with total poise and friendliness! The reason for my review today was due to my completely felt satisfaction upon Sterling's picking up of my family's trash today and my family's shown happiness, as well as our garbage's clean and quick removal per usual, prompted myself to go onto Yelp and finally provide a review that this company deserves after years of loyal service to my household. However, I was in total shock towards these negative and absolutely MISREPRESENTING reviews on here....... He couldn't start until there was a dumpster. I called them Jeffrey within two days and he and Chuck came the next day to dump the dumpster and returned it that day. Had the dumpster another week filled it up again. The guys came the next day and removed it.
