We had used Tom and Inside Out painting a couple of times previously, but the last time was to paint the complete outside of our house. The facia board paint bubbled up in spots soon afterward. Tom and his crew were top-notch.... and he was VERY patient with me because I kept second-guessing the color choice for our kitchen cabinets ... he convinced me that we had chosen the right color and he couldn't have been more correct. We are extremely pleased with everything. Crew was always on time or early. Unfortunately they had to deal with an entire week of rain while doing all the painting in the house and using our garage as a stage/drying area so the painting last 1/2 day longer than originally estimated but who cares? The cabinets all over the house are spectacular.... And, who knew that so much work had to go into painting oak cabinets, the banister and the fireplace mantel? I might as well of hired a person from the street. I decided to hire this company because I read good reviews, but after the unskilled job that was done, I can assume the reviews must be from family/friends. I will agree that the initial interaction was respectable and he could be perceived as a professional business man with experience. After a 3 week waiting game, which was not what I had signed for, he finally called the morning before he wished to complete the job to "pencil us in". That really should have been a warning sign. He arrived on time and we had to leave to some planned activities that could not be changed. We made it work because we had already been waiting. We trusted the job would be what we had paid for. When we arrived that evening the job that we paid for in full was less than mediocre from a so called licensed service company. For example, he painted windows, window brackets, floor, fixtures, and sinks. He even painted our AC vent, that was the cherry on top. With his argumentative attitude he came back on his own terms to attempt to rectify the situation. My walls are better because I had to look at each room with a fine tooth comb. With that, there was still some areas that were missed but I was so tired of dealing with such an unprofessional person that we will fix it ourselves. I've had to deal with many service professionals in the past but this experience is one I won't forget for a long time. Tom and his guys were very professional, along with showing up on time and doing exactly what they said they would do. In this industry, that does not happen very often. They were also very tidy and clean with everything they did, which is rare as well. Tom talks good but doesn't back what he says. I think he is out of touch with his crews. He says he watched them do prep work, but he wasn't even present. Paint peeling off doors and trim inside. Paint flaking off eaves in large spots (2 places). Thin paint on inside walls from poor spraying. He was to remove and replace eaves with dry rot, and report if it was termites. Very poor job, no report of termites, small wood areas replaced, used large amount of putty to cover up poor repairs and possible termite damage. Now I have to get all of his repairs re-done and house rented for termites. Threw away over $3,000. Tom has no idea what his crew does. read more

Tom and crew recently painted the exterior of our home. We were so happy with the work he did on the inside this past summer that we decided to go ahead get the outside done since it really needed it. Again we are delighted with the results. He's very responsive by phone, text or in person, timely for arrival and a great all-around help for color selection and information on the products they use. He was very upfront about what the job entailed, how long it would take, and we felt his price was fair all things considered. His crew was polite and efficient, and if Tom wasn't around his foreman was always on site to answer questions. I went through a service to get 4 quotes on a rush paint job that I needed(next day). I also called a friend to help me out as I needed it done in one day. My friend ended up coming through and painted my house in one day. I did get a phone call from Tom right away regarding the quote I text him back to let him know the job was already taken and thank you for the call back. I accidentally butt dialed Tom this morning , he called me back and proceeded to ask me many questions about the job that was done, and gave me the time I put in my request, the time he called, and when I responded. Why??? He also started to tell me that when I request a quote he is charged for it. Sorry Tom not in the mood for your lecture this morning. Please try to be more professional next time you don't get the job. I felt like I was being harassed because I wasted your time. Your company will not be recommended by me. They arrived everyday at the time they said they would and the job was finished when they said it would be. Tom helped with color selection and made suggestions.
