This is a great public library. It is large with an open feel. I would totally study here if I had to.

It's beautiful, gorgeous as they say in Ithaca they have such a variety of programs they offer. The campus is beautiful. It's up all these cascading hills with waterfalls breaking through the campus in two spots. There's a combination of modern buildings with Panik views. Collegetown has some great restaurants actually some of the better restaurants in the city of Ithaca are in Collegetown they like make your own bento and some hot pot places and a variety of other cuisines, but cool old architecture, vine covered buildings there's so much to experience in and learn at Cornell. Dictated but not read. Lol

Well, since this is here, I better give my 2 cents. I am an extremely proud graduate of this…read moreawesome university ( recent politics aside).... Founded by Ezra Cornell in 1865, it contains 7 colleges, 4 which are land grant/ NY state subsidized (SUNY, or State University of New York).( College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Human Ecology, Industrial and Labor Relations, and College of Veterinary Medicine)College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Architecture, Art and Planning. Photos are from today. Cornell has the most beautiful, or gorges campus ( Ithaca is gorges)... built over a few gorges with safety nets and bars to prevent the stress of academic life from making drastic decisions ( sad but true). Each quad is unity and has its own feel, and there are several newer buildings, not all consistent with the original beautiful architecture. No visit here would be complete without visits to Uris Library's President AD White Library, McGraw Tower, the terrace overlooking campus and Cayuga Lake from Willard Straight Hall, Sage Chapel, the Law School's Annabel Taylor Hall, Beebe Lake, Lynah Rink... you get it. I came to Cornell University to see my nephew's graduation!!…read more Located in the city of Ithaca, New York, he actually had two graduations, one indoors in the basketball arena, and the next day outside on the football field. We ate here in a very nice restaurant in the Statler Hotel on campus after the graduation on the first day. He also showed us the statue of Ezra Cornell, and explained the rich history here. This campus is on a hill, so you get some good views up here. It's also a very well kept place. He definitely enjoyed his time attending this prestigious university!!

Beautiful views of Lake Cayuga, plenty of gorges/ravines with free-running water, lush plant life/vegetation, and beautiful architecture - that basically sums of Cornell! Lots to see on campus. Some of my favorite campus highlights are the Dairy Barn, Lab of Ornithology, the Arts Quad, the Uris Library, and the clock tower. One thing I learned about the clock tower is that there are actual chimesmasters who play the music in the clock tower who play at various times in the day. Absolutely amazing! Cornell reminded me a lot of UC Davis (where I went for school)- except a much more hilly version with more history. I did like the laid back atmosphere of the school, which reminded me of my undergrad days. And as a note, if you plan to drive here - there are plenty of parking lots where you can park your car. Parking is hourly, and more expensive in central campus. If you don't mind walking, you can park in a lot that's a little bit farther from the main sights (e.g. maybe a 5-10 min walk to where you might need to get to). Parking is also free after a certain hour - which depends on where you park. Make sure to double check the parking restrictions.
