I met Daniel at Home Depot after the hurricanes and floods of September/October 2024. We started talking about general things, which was an easy thing considering the gentle and convivial manner of Daniel. In the course of our conversation, I learned that Daniel was in the home restoration business, whereupon I invited him to my home to survey the great damage done by the hurricanes/floods, and to estimate the cost to repair. Daniel accepted my invitation, and he appeared at my home that afternoon at the time he said he would be there. The damage to my house (a duplex) was substantial. All sheetrock four feet from the floor had to be removed, all insulation had to be removed, most electrical outlets and other connections for wifi, data, cable, etc. had to be removed and replaced. The wood moldings throughout both apartments, all cabinets, significant tile, bathroom fixtures, large granite countertops, kitchen appliances, and so much more, all required removal. In addition, since the house was empty, I remodeled one of the bathrooms. The work was substantial, and I was a bit nervous over using Daniel, since I had never used him before. Nonetheless, I took a chance, hired him, and gave him the job of returning my formerly beautiful home to its former elegance. Daniel immediately began scoping out the work and in a short time delivered to me his account of the damage, the work necessary to restore my home, and his estimated times and prices. Thereafter, we discussed the work and the price, we reached an agreement and the work began. It was very easy discussing these matters with Daniel. He was soft spoken, analytical, insightful, and honest. I think the most pronounced thing I observed was that his language was free from profanity and coarseness. It was easy to talk with him and to reach an agreement. He then began the substantial work required, and what can I say? My home was restored to its former beauty. The work is now done, my home is once again beautiful, and Daniel's work was exceptional in every regard. He is easy to talk with, his work is excellent, his insights are great, and his price is reasonable. I have no reservation whatsoever about referring Daniel to anyone who needs work on their home.
