This place didn't work for us. My husband arrived ten minutes late to a beard trim appointment…read morebecause he accidentally went to a similarly named barbershop a four minute walk up the street, Gabe's. Gabriel wasn't able to accommodate the original appointment anymore, which is completely understandable. But then he told my husband he was booked for the rest of the day, week and into mid next week. When I checked his availability online a moment later, where I had been advised to schedule, he still had a 2:30 pm that day and several more appointments available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week. As I write this review almost 36 hours later, there are still openings. If Gabriel had wanted my husband as a client he wouldn't have lied about his availability. My husband understood the message and went back to the first barbershop for his beard trim. It seems odd to me to be so annoyed with a customer, for an innocent mistake, that you don't want their business in the future.

A person walked in for their 3:30 PM appointment and the barber decided to cut that person first because "theres 4 of you, so let me cut this one person first." The AC is also freezing cold here when its 50 degrees outside. Edit: So one of my friends managed to get a haircut at 4:25. But you would think the rest of our group would go after right? No this barber ( Idk what his name was. But he was the only barber at the store on Oct 6. Glasses and blond hair ) just let called some other kid up. Meanwhile you have 3 people that had appointments at 2 still not getting their haircuts. At the same time the barber is still telling people walking in the store that there is a "short" wait.

Do you want to feel and look super fly while having a delicious cocktail with some very cool folk?…read moreHighly recommend this spot if you're trying to find a great cut. I'll be honest, I came here after I found out that my regular barber wasn't open (I'm not a cheater) and I honestly wasn't a huge fan of Rust Belt. Two coworkers recommended this spot, so I thought I would check it out. I called ahead (as you should) and they had one appointment left on a Friday before I had to head out to a conference. Upon walking in, I was greeted with smiling faces and incredibly approachable staff. I checked out the board and noticed one of their first rules- no phone on the chair. I honestly appreciated the dedication to good conversation and a friendly environment. David, the ringleader as it seemed, offered me a whiskey beverage. I opted for an old fashion, and my man knows how to make a fine beverage. Once I sat in the chair, I was transparent and explained that I'm not too complicated, but needed a tight fade with a cut on top that doesn't show off my widow's peak. I did ask if they would recommend anything else, and this is where they won. I asked Rust Belt about this a while back and they explained a bunch of different styles that my hair couldn't actually do. This place however, was real and transparent. They explained the limited options I had (which I was cool with) and said what would honestly be the best move. I appreciated it, enjoyed the very careful cut, had some laughs about music and buffalo, and walked out real happy.
